Well, It seems that the Wimbledon draw has ONCE AGAIN pitted Venus and Serena vs the players that have either given them trouble or beaten then in the recent past on their respective sides.

Examples: Serena/Jennifer Quarters

There are other examples in Serena's half, but I don't remember.

Venus/Myskina Semis

Venus/ Shaugnessy

Venus/Svetlana

Venus/Dementevia

ETC. ETC.

Luck of the draw, with a few exceptions, does not EVER seem Lucky for the sisters Williams.

BUT, It DOES NOT MATTER. If they play well they will STILL go home with the trophy.

As Serena said... Bring it!!

I am NOT saying that it is fixed, but rather that fate seems to, most of the time, require them to be VERY ready to play.

They've won plenty of slams between them, so I don't think we need to be arguing about conspiracy theories. Anyway, to win a slam, a player should be able to be the best players in the draw on the way. There couldn't be much satisfaction if all the good players fall away first. I'm sure at least one of them will be there on the final weekend

They are good players, it's just the luck of the draw. Like skared said, if they are the best players then they will win the tournament.

I thought that K. Sprem(Berlin semi) was very predictable for a second round bother Venus plot. The machine or whatever is used obviously understands recent history!

All said however, it will be Shaparova in the semi against Venus!

They were thrown into separate halves, given special seedings(better than special rankings) and people still complain

I don't agree with the special seedings, but like I said, you should have to beat all the good players to win a slam. Any top 8 seeding is enough. It's entirely up to Venus and Serena to prove themselves. If they don't it's their own failing.

If there is any justice, and based on the form of this year, Sveta K will emerge from the top half. The bottom half is weaker, but probably Venus (I'd rather Molik or Sharapova though! ;)
