Shouldn't you say France missed out the win against Croatia??

France was so much better..Croatia didn't even deserve a point. And go to hell referee???? For what?? giving a penalty that didn't even was a penalty??

France may have been on top, but they were still rubbish.

I would have loved to have seen that idiot Mornar score at the end. Guess they can't all be Michael Owen... :tape:
not rubbish at all..they played well and fast. The only thing that's rubbish is the team's set-up.. what the hell are Trezeguet and Henry doing there in the center of the offense??? They have such great fast players..why don't they use the flanks more often?

at least Zidane showed some nice stuff :hearts:

France so far

1. Set piece brilliance from Zidane.
2. Penalty from Zidane.
3. Luck - own goal by Croatian.
4. Croatian error, leading to open goal

Hardly impressive

France controlled the first half, 2nd half Croatia were much the better side

Vieira and Zidane are keeping this French side going, no-one else is playing very well at all

Henry and Trezeguet are craps ! I hope Hnery will show us his talent, otherwise I'm going to think the defense in english League is very bad !!!!!!

Henry doesn't do it in the big games, proved time and time again

Honestly, I think its down to defenders knowing how to defend against him at the highest level. They drop deep, don't allow him much space, and he is lost. That is why ZZ will always be superior to me, despite the fact he has one or two players on him all the time, he is still brilliant.

International football is also alot different to Club football, especially the English Premier League which is fast and furious

With no tactics and poor defending. Its a poor league IMO, which is shown by the results in Europe by English clubs over the last 15 years. 1 team in the CL final, thats pathetic for supposedly 'the best league in the world'.

Spain is undoubtedly the best league, however the standard of players has gone down too all over the world, and i think that's been shown in the poor tournament so far

Am I the only one who thought that that was one of the most exciting and well-played matches so far in the tournament? Okay, towards the end it was a bit sloppy, but for most of the match it was sharp, incisive play from both teams, using all their players and all areas of the pitch and creating chances. Either team could have won and would have deserved it. I think England will have big problems against Croatia. By the way, Rooney is a little psycho and should have been sent off this afternoon for his tackle on the Switzerland goalkeeper.

If you think that was a red card, we might as well say most challenges are worthy of red cards. He barely flicked him

They are still unlikely to Q - FRANCE will beat SWITZERLAND and secure pool position in the group whereas ENGLAND looks better at the moment and more eager.

that was not intentionally..definitly not a fault.

I called my Croatian friend last night to congratulate him and surprisingly he was furious at the result. He was pissed off at Nielsen. But, all his previous pessimism about this Croatian team is gone and now he thinks they will beat England. I agree with him too. I see an upset coming up - England hasn't impressed me that much and Croatia, with their self-belief all restored, might progress to the quarters with France.

Based on the highlights I saw, it doesn't appear intentional and was most probably ball-to-hand rather than the other way around. So, with the strict interpretation of handballs, the refree might be correct. Still since a goal was scored in such circumstances, may be the refree could have interpreted the rule a little bit differently to overule the goal.

I still rate Henry very highly...Im sure he will come good, though hopefully not against England if we should meet again...

England have to play positively agaisnt Croatia...playing for a draw will not be good enough...if we take the match to them we can win.

England can beat Croatia. If we play badly and win 3-0, imagine if we get it right on the night! And Croatia couldn't create anything against the Swiss

Very true ;) But if England lose to Croatia, then England don't deserve any better.

This tournament has shown so far, there is no real favourite
