How do you screen capture?

OK, I used to know how to do this and now I've forgotten, how do you use your computer to take a picture of what's on your desktop? I know it's 'prt scr' and something else but I forget. :scratch:

there should be a print screen bottom. press it , open up and image editor and paste. your capture should be there.

...the 'something else' would be Ctrl...ie Control...probably... :)

It's ALT and Prt Scr keys, but that won't work for what I was trying. :smash:

I was trying to capture a few scenes from a video that's on Window's Media Player, but it doesn't work. :rolleyes:

before pressing the buttons, try to move the focus away from WMP window..

In Windows Media Player if you go to tools, select options and then click on the performance tab. On the performance page there will be a slider labled video acceleration. Reduce the acceleration to none, click ok and then close down media player. Next open the file you want to take a still from, press ALT and the PrintScrn key. Next open up paint or another program and go to edit and select paste. When your done taking screen captures change the settings back to how they were.
