Play starts at 11am, and is free to get in, and the British girls get tough draws :(

Melanie South vs. Maria Kirilenko
Emily Webley-Smith vs. Tatiana Perebiynis

Karen is gonna get humped, but a point is a point is a point

and good expericen for her
Perebiynis was shit here last year, so if emily plays well she has a shot

can't see Mel winning

Amanda could get through this, Sam is really hit or miss on grass i think.

This draw is way, way stronger than last year, i guess coz Vienna was removed

A bit off-topic, but for anyone planning to travel from London to Birmingham tomorrow by train to watch the play, you can't go the normal route from Euston via Milton Keynes. Instead, the best option is to go from Marylebone, on Chiltern railways line via High Wycombe and Banbury. This is because there's been major engineering work on that route all week. I should get up to Birmingham around 10:10 tomorrow morning.

Thanks for phoning the tournament office for us, PDM. At least I know the start of play now! Tough draw for Melanie South, against Kirilenko, who took a set off Serena last week.

Any idea if that's the same for Sunday? Do you think I should call rail enquiries to check?
