..now that that dust has settled(excuse the pun  )after her quarter-final match yesterday? Obviously, my initial reactions after I watched the match on Eurosport yesterday wre of fierce anger  and complete disappointment  but now when I think back to the match, I don't feel as bad. This is due mainly to how Venus reacted after losing yesterday.Instead of storming off the court immediately after the match like she was about to burst into tears(as some journalists have suggested  ), Venus strolled off the court waving and smiling warmly at the crowd. :) This made me proud to think what a gratious player our Vee really is and I think us fans should act in kind and just accept that yes Venus played quite awful but still Myskina had to win the match and we should accept that. Also, I'm just glad that Venus doesn't appear to be seriously injured and we can look forward to her dominating at Wimbledon when she should be back in full health :bounce: :bounce: !!!
Go Venus!!!! :bounce: :bounce: :worship: :worship: You may have lost yesterday but your fans are 101% proud and behind you!!!!! :bounce: :worship: :bounce:

I feel as though...lol

Venus played a crappy match and got what she deserved. Myskina was smart enough to keep the balls in play, nothing spectacular, but she got the job done.

I'm finally getting myself snapped out of it which is why I've also decided it's safe to hang out on this board--- something I wouldn't do in the past :tape: After reading some of Vee's words, I know she will bounce back :p

I'm bummed out, but it's only one tournament. She had a good clay season and she'll have a better one next year. On to WB!

I was disappointed especially since I had picked Venus to win the title! (Smarty Jones better win the triple crown tomorrow or I am really going to start doubting my abilities to pick a winner! LOL!) But Venus really picked up during the clay season winning two titles, winning both of her Fed Cup matches and making the finals of Berlin and the quarterfinals of Roland Garros. After a terrible start to the year, I do think that Venus worked hard during the clay season to get her game together and her results show that. Yes, it was disappointing that she lost, but I am happy that she played so well through this point of the season.

On to Wimbledon, it is time for Venus to reclaim her throne there!

What players do you actually like, I mean one day you hate the sisters than the next you're defending them and saying the Russians are overrated.

Sorry you got me confused with the hillbilly's on the board. Our people don't pontificate with each other - unlike yours.

I haven't meet ya, yet, I can already tell it is a very unpleasant sight. You seem bitter.

Good for you. You swing below the table, I don't know why the admins let you get away with it.

You seem soo trashy and soooo Trailer Parkish.

I was gutted when she lost, it me 24 hours before I could log back onto this message board. Couldn't stand the gloating and announcements about the sisters being done. I was very disappointed in her performance, but I won't harp on it too much because Wimbledon is next. I can sense the fear already. And it is good, very good indeed.

Well considering the circumstances, Venus and Serena had an OK tournament. At least they didn't get knocked out in the early rounds...

Wimbledon should be interesting...

I'm disappointed that :worship: lost, and I'm a little upset over how she lost, but If you had told me before the clay season started that Venus would go 19-1 and win two titles, I would have taken it and ran. There's always Wimbledon, of course, and since she doesn't have any points to defend after that, The Queen ought to have a very prosperous summer. ;)

It was a bumpy day at the French Open for both Serena and I. I was sure that I was ready to get to my second semifinal at this tournament but I was just unable to find my A game today. I did try to pick up on my opponent’s strategy right away and keep the ball in play. However, everything that I needed to do to win the match just eluded me. Anastasia Myskina played a great game and I congratulate her on that. Nevertheless, in the back of my mind I know that if I had been able to have more practice and fewer injuries I would have been more prepared for this match.

At this stage I have to concentrate on my next tournament which is Wimbledon. I will go home now and practice for the next two weeks on hardcourts, because it is the surface most similar to grass.

At the end of every tournament I always reward my whole team by taking them to McDonald’s. But everyone has scattered now , packing their bags, making flight arrangements and taking care of all the things that always come up at the last minute. I might have to make the trek today all by my lonesome and I have to keep everyone else in mind though because I will be in serious hot water if I don’t bring enough back for everyone!

I feel great for the Russians, believe it or not. You don't reach a Grand Slam final unless you deserve it, so good for them you know. I actually enjoy seeing their excitement.:worship:

As for Venus, she did better this time than she did in Australia, and she did better than last year. She is looking forward to Wimbledon and I am too. She will be mad as hell at Wimbledon and I will be looooooooooving it!!:bounce:

Go Venus! Always my number 1 :wavey: always in my heart :hearts:
