Suarez and Capriati aren't that big surprises, they are both ranked higher than their opponents and Capriati beat Serena in Rome. Myskina was the first top ten player Venus has met since her loss to Dementieva in Miami. And Mauresmo folding at RG isn't surprising anymore :(. So in retrospect not that surprising though I admit I thought it would be the other way around except for Suarez.

jen is not a surprise. she is one of the best players of all time. it was just a matter of time for jen to be back. as long as she has the desire, she will do well cos tennis is in her. she was born to play that game :)
