Women's: Mauresmo vs. Serena/Venus/Capriat
Men's: Kuerten/Nalbandian vs. Moya/Coria

I don't see the other 8 making the finals. Do you really see Suarez, Sharapova, Dementieva, or Myskina making the finals? How about Hewitt, Gaudio, Henman or Chela making the finals? While these other 8 are all danr good tennis players, who here thinks they'll make the finals? Thoughts please!

On clay Paola should beat Sharapova and has a good record on clay against Mauresmo, remember in 2002 when she upset an in-form Mauresmo on Chatrier in round 4. It would not be a surprise to see Suarez's flowing free-swing groundies earn her a spot in the final. She is a great player to watch when she's in full-flight.

Similarly I would't discount Hewitt,as a two-time grand slam champion he knows what it takes to win big matches. He may have had some mediocre results like Kuerten has over the past couple of months but one would expect him to start favourite versus Gaudio and like Kuerten he may raise the bar and lift his level of play as the finals unfold.

My tips for the semis are Kuerten versus Hewitt, Coria versus Chela, Suarez versus Mauresmo and Venus versus Serena.

Kuerten to beat Coria in the final of King versus heir. And Serena to prevail in a tough three setter with clay court slugger Argentine Paola Suarez.
