I dont know what's that.. It's the same feeling I had at Wimbledon 2001.. when Serena was about to play Capriati at quarterfinals... I think the same thing will repeat at this Roland Garros this year..

Serena just played Asagoe, and who saw the match said that Serena will have to improve a lot to be able to defeat Jennifer, and I kinda agree that her movement is not like it was before, and that she really have to practice on that if she ever wishes to become the champion... (i think thats a tough thing to happen..... each match at your time).. I think its all about the surgery that she had.. shes not that confident on her knee.. and shes doing everything to avoid on forcing that knee... I think that'll cost her this Roland Garros title..

I think it's a bad feeling, and also not a good thing to say, but that's are my feelings.. I didn't want to post this on general messages (but eventually someone will come here see what I think) because I only wanted the Serena fans to know what are my predictions.. And I'm already getting ready for Wednesday (or whatever the day of the quarterfinals - AND IF JENNIFER WINS.. BUT PROBABLY SHE WILL)

I hope I'm wrong.. but what do y'all think about it? I'm really worry, and I usually when I think of it, I'm not wrong.

Serena is 1 of only 2 QF's who has played better than her opponent every round (stats-wise).
jen ain't the other.
just wait and c which 1 makes an improvement.

If it goes to 3 sets, Capriati's thigh is unlikely to hold up.

Jenn's best chane is a straight set victory, no doubt. I know what you speak of when it comes to feelings (bad or otherwise). I got that "bad" feelin' when Serena was scheduled to play Jen at Rome and we all know what happened. This time around I'm also getting a feeling but it's not bad...you guyz my gut is telling me she's going to win the whole thing. I know it seems like a tall task at the moment but let's not foret whom we speak of here...she is Serena after all....

best of luck to our girl against Jenn...may the best player on that day be victorious!!!! (well only if that player is Rena...lol)

LET'S GO RENA!!!!!

Serena needs to return better than she did in IO and not to lose focus.

She needs to get her serve back too. (9 DFs...)

Just take care of the serve...and stop making sloppy errors. Serena can hang in the rallies, but she needs to serve well to avoid too many long rallies. Return well and play the big points a bit better. Jen hasn´t exactly been cruising either, so.....

Let's cleanse ourselves of any and all bad vibes... This is the House of Serena so take heed of what I say, "Serena shall be the victor"!

If it makes all of you Serena fans happy, I'll personally guarentee that Serena will win...my guarentees are as good as gold- count on it!!!!

I think Serena just needs to stay calm and while staying aggressive she doesn't need to let any negative emotions get to her so much that they throw her off her game, cause errors and thus give the match to Jennifer. Let Jennifer play that game because it's what Jen is used to and that's in part how and why she's lost to Serena so many consecutive times. Serena can win this and she knows it - the surface doesn't matter, but she needs to be on her game and play within it.

I agree with Machu here. I agree that Serena needs to be aggressive, but she also needs to be patient and wait on that winner. She also needs to reel in that forehand. It gets wild sometimes because she pulls up on it. She did it three times day before yesterday and she knew she was doing it, but it seemed that she's gotten into some kind of bad habit. I hope she has worked on that in practice. Her serve looks pretty good, but it's going to have to be on the money today. Good luck Rena. We're behind you all the way.

Go Williams!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Hey I couldn't have been more positive if I tried and I did feel good about her chances.

As for my personal gurantee... we'll we all know that gurantees aren't rain proof. Someone sent down the rains to wash away my good vibes. Things could alwayz be worse....Amelie Mauresmo.

Serena just hasn't put everything together the way she needs to. Wimbledon will be different. Today was a wake up call, she'll answer it.
