I am still upset no grammy for India Arie. I guess the voters are more concerned about hype rather than substance.

I like the simpsons episode dealing with the Grammys. The Grammys long ago stopped being anything of significance.

Yeah I think india.arie should've won SOMETHING. I don't think Alicia Keys deserves 5 GRAMMIES!! She is way overhyped. And U2, I like them, but it seems like they win a grammy for any damn song or record they release. U2 and Sting always win Grammys even if they produce trash.

I'm mad about Lady Marmalade. I hate Christina Aguilera! :fiery: I guess I can be happy for Lil Kim and Mya.

And GO NELLY FURTADO!! I'm happy she won, I used to not like her, but she's growing on me.

Regardless of the politics :

1 - at least Britney didn't win anything.
2 - congrats to Nelly Furtado, a fellow Canadian :), for winning one. THough I don't like her stuff all the much, it is catchy
3. Congrats to U2, who are my fave :)

For the first time, and hopefully the only time, I can agree with Vanity.

Wow, Nelly Furtado blew me away...when she was up there, just her and a guitar, and she sounded great! Looked awesome too. I'm always proud of a fellow British Columbian ;) but how did she get nominated more than once for "I'm Like a Bird"? I like her CD a lot, it's so diverse and different, but the one song of her's i don't like is "I'm Like a Bird"!!

And did anyone else notice that during N'Sttync's performance, that one of those 'girl' dancers they had for their song "Girlfriend", looked suspiciously like Michael Jackson ;) lol

Yes, too bad for India.Arie, 0-fer-7 can't be pretty. :(

But, you know what? As someone who would have never given her a chance, seeing her amazing performance of that fantastic song last night has made me a fan. I'm gladly going to check out her debut album, and will hopefully see her live one of these days. She can count me as a fan.

Isn't that better than a Grammy? :D

Yeah for Train, they are a great band

What the hell was Christina thinking wearing that awful get up and that hair. Geez, I know that he is going for the white trash look but gosh.
