Oh well. As long as she does well in Singles I'm happy. :)

Thanks for the pics. i saw her match point in the summary of Eurosport. She looked OK and said she is fit. I think the doubles forfeit was bc of singles...

May 30th, 2004, 03:14 PM
Well, a very disappointing loss, yes, but I think Maggie went the further she could. She had some tough matches here and even not being in her best physical shape, she could defend her 4th round points.
I'm upset know but I'll very happy very soon cuz we know that Maggie fought, and Amelie had her best day in RG this year, unfortunatelly it was against Maggie.
But np, I'm very proud of you Maggie, and I know you'll give us many more happy moments.
You could start defending your title in Birmingham ;) :hearts:
:worship: Maggie :worship:

I only saw the last point, and even tough she lost the match in easy str8 sets, she seemed to be happy, she smiled to Amelie, so I also think she's not so disappointed at all for the job she did this week :)
May 30th, 2004, 11:02 PM
I watched the whole match today. Maggie was fighting very hard at the end of the first set, she could close it for 3-5 and from then on the match was all Amelie. I was impressed with the way she played-her best match by a long way. Whenever Maggie was putting the first serve in it was much easier to get the points. She showed some moments of briliance that got her into the fourth round but all together Amelie showed she's the main contender for the title this year!
Apart from today I think Maggie made her best Grand Slam appearance in a long time, if not ever!:worship:
Thanks Maggie for the great week :bounce:
Hopefully Sesil will make the second one even brighter for the Bulgarian tennis fans :hearts:

Yes, she definetely played very well in that GS. I think she has had some chances as well, but hey, she was tired and Amelie simply was better.
