She's been learning English in an intensive way since 1 year 1/2. I would like to see you speak another language than your primary language : It often is difficult, you know.

same here... and it (language, all aspect of it) usually goes south the more nervous you get. I bet, if she didn't speak fluent English, it's partly due to being nervous and being in front of the camera.

Oh dear God please save us. The girl can only talk in sporting cliches, and gives about as much expert analysis as brick wall.

I know it's not easy to speak a foreign language, especially when you're broadcasting to millions, and I'm not criticising Martina as a person, but her previous performances have been so dreadfully wooden and pained; it was like watching Eurovision.

I thought Martina did a pretty good job working for Eurosport in the past so it'll be cool to see her at Roland Garros! :yeah: Mind you, once you've seen John Barnes presenting European football on Channel 5 you'll think anyone is talented! :o

At least Martina has played most of the current girls and can talk about them. Chris was a little stale (ok, a lot stale). Pam and Mary Jo are terrible. Pam is foul in every way, Mary Jo is too nice and really has little insight. I wish a U.S. network would use Martina. I thought her English was fine, I don't know what you guys are talking about. Even if you didn't like her as a player, the girl knows her tennis and played these girls. I'd love to hear Martina commentate. NBC are you listening?

she did the whole australian open and i thought she did a pretty good job. she provided a lot more insights when commentating than the other commentators did. her only problem was that she didn't seem to know the custom of not speaking while a point was in progress.

Then I'll be a retard, because as long as they keep showing

Football
Basketball
Baseball
Track
Tennis
Golf/with Tiger of course
WNBA
Gymnastics
figure skating
and yes, even Soccer

I'm in heaven. They can keep hockey.

Here in Europa , commentators often talk between the points . It's not a problem sometimes women tennis is very boring and we need some excitement from outside . Martina is the best for this job .

football I'll give you
basketball only interested when the Pistons are on and UPN usually shows their games
Baseball sucks.
Track I love since I ran track myself
Tennis When it's on which is hardly (prefer men's)
Golf reminds me of sitting in the backyard and watching grass grow.
WNBA sucks.
Gymnastics I could care less about
Figure skating You are obiviously a retard if you like that.
Soccer Played by a bunch of crybabys who fake diving and roll around on the ground for over a minute and claim they are in pain, then the next minute they're back on the field looking fine.

HOCKEY RULES!!!!!!!! Detroit Red Wings one of the best, well not this year
TAMPA BAY WILL BE THE 2004 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS!!!!!!

Run along and watch your precious ESPN, maybe there's a World's Strongest Man on from 1996. LMAO!!!!!!!!

That doesn't sound good :o

She was never short of bitchisms when she was a player so hopefully she'll diss everyone and dish some dirt. Otherwise
