I'm planning to go to RG friday the 28th of may, but I didn't make a reservation for tickets. So I have a few questions :

Are there still tickets sold on matchdays (for the outside courts, possibly combined with one of the three main courts), so I just can go there and buy my tickets like at 9am...

I know they sell tickets now at the official box office, but is there a way to buy tickets over the internet ?

Any help and advice would be much appreciated ? :)

there are always tickets available on the day, even in the afternoon, though not always for the show courts. u can buy scalped tickets from touts outside very easily (last year the checks were minimal, not like wimbledon with their wrist bracelets and all!!!).

Thx for the quick response :yeah:
so, if I understand you well, tickets for outside courts are still available from the box office on the day itself, even sometimes for the show courts. And is it like I will have to queu for hours to get those tickets ? At what hour opens the box office ?

yeah. i don't actually know wot time in the morning they open, i'm so lazy we only ever went in the afternoon. i think the office itself probably opens about an hour before play.

probably the queues are worse in the morning but okish in the afternoon: we once got tickets in half hour.

i'm not french but i kinda think queuing ain't the big deal @ RG as it is @ wimbledon.

anyway check out the site re internent sales/show court tix now available: (http://www.rolandgarros.com/en_FR/about/ticket.html)

"BOX OFFICE SALES
Eight days before the tournament, those tickets not sold during the first two phases will be put on sale at the Stade Roland-Garros box office. from today

Seats are still available for the Benny Berthet day, the qualifications, and outside court tickets for the second week of the tournament. Those tickets are already available on line with Ticketnet (http://census.rolandgarros.com/rc/click/www.ticketnet.fr/shop/fr/resultat.asp?recherche=mots&mots=roland%2Bgarros). "

Well, I checked the site before I asked my question here, and that was what got me confused

coz' only tickets for the qualies, next sunday (exhibition day) and outside courts in the 2nd week, are sold by Ticketnet. So I started thinking all the other tickets are like sold out yet

but I guess I can just go to RG next friday and find some tickets, right ? :)

and don't go for that wimbledon-copy-cat-selling-2nd-hand-tix-after-5pm they r starting this yr. better off with black market tix fr the morning.

well, problem is I'm not in Paris now, but maybe I should indeed try to find someone who could get me the tickets...

and don't worry ;) I'm not interested in those eveningtickets, I'm just going for one day and I want the whole day to be filled with tennis and GS-atmosphere :)
