why? Because...

a.Kim is not there
-she is a great clay court player
-number 2 player in the world
-has made it to the final of the last two Grand Slams
-has made it to the final of 2/3 most recent RGs played

Wow coudn't the same be said for Henin's and Clijsters results from Post- Wimby to AO this year.........Williams not back yet.

Just leave it alone. Henin won those titles when the sister were gone, she deserved them. Kim won those title when the sisters were gone, she deserved it. And whoever wins the FO will have deserved it.

So should Serena have a * next to her name cause she won all of those 5 slams against a sister who loves her (same goes for Vee at USO 01)..... It doesn't matter who you play, a win is a win and nothing else matters........

No,A Slam remains a Slam no matter what...I twill always have the same prestige. It would be nicer if you beat the best though but still a Slamtitle doesn't loses it's glam cuz of a couple of missing players.

Absolutely not. Expecially since it's pretty much ONLY Kim, and nobody else.

Every slam since Sabatini retired has an asterisk next to it as far as I'm concerned.

Surely an asterisk means that the player is seeded? So you are really asking whether any non-seeds have a chance to win RG? To which the answer must surely be no.

because Kim has won no GS's before, I highly doubt her playing in RG or not would have affected te final outcome anyway. I don't see her winning any GS's this year, and definately not a big absence when Serena and co are all there...Kim is a nobody compared to Justine, Serena, Venus, Lindsay, Jennifer, even Mary Pierce.
