Is being the hitting partner for a pro a "dream" job for a tennis fan?

Yes because if you are good enough to hit with a top pro then you must be a pretty decent player and would probably be regularly playing some smaller tournaments with a semi-realistic dream of some day hitting the big time and playing in Grand Slams. To me that beats the hell out of any 'normal' job.

The better female players generally use male Practice Partners, because its a tougher workout. Sorry girls!

I think it would be awesome. I wouldn't care who it was or what they were ranked. To have the opportunity to hit with any girl inside the top 500 would be a thrill. I was lucky enough to do it a few weeks ago and it was just amazing.

Firstly, I think that would be the craziest thing ever! Just imagine hitting a ball with your fav player, pure paradise! I'm just waiting for the phone to ring with Justine on the other end! Still waiting............Still waiting.............
Secondly, PatM04, who did you hit with?
Earlier this month I played a pro-am at the 75k in Dothan. I know that you are probably thinking that since it was a pro-am that they probably weren't hitting it like normal but they actually were.

The people I played with were:
Lisa Mcshea
Diana Ospina
Leanne Baker
Hank Pfister (former RG doubles champ)
Stacia Fonseca
Nicole Remis
Angela Haynes

The people I played against were:
Nicole Sewell
Bryanne Stewart
Natallia Dziamidzenka
Salmoe Devidze
Varvara Lepchenko
Tanner Cochran
Tina Schiechtl

They girls were actually playing pretty close to normal level. I am not trying to sound pretentious but when some of them figured out that I could actually play better than all of the others in the pro-am they started hitting really hard. Varvara even took a few forehands out of the air at me while I was at the net and she wasn't just looping it either. She was RIPPING it. To give you an idea of how hard she was hitting it, my partner at the time (Fonseca) said to me "Well if she is going to play like that then I guess I'm really gonna have to play". A couple of them asked me if I was going to play college tennis. The whole time I was in Heaven. If you want a detailed report you can go here:

Sounds like you had a good time from your report in the other thread. Did you ask Sammy if you could be her personal slave? And Jenny Hopkins just going Through The motions? Duh! :p

Well, if Sammy offered me the job of personal slave I would take it:lol: Well it seems that as soon as Jen left Dothan her game seemed to regain itself somewhat.
