Amy does not like clay at all but hopefully she's still got enough experience to take this one. I like the idea of the wily veteran ending the 14 year old's 20+ match winning streak.

I feel sorry for Amy Frazier! Her draw is not as wonderful as you all think. This Ivanovic is definately a big talent. She can only win whatever she plays. Amy is under pressure.

It`s the same situation Patty Fendick had to face versus Hingis in her first WTA tour match. You don`t really know them, you know they are talented and everybody makes such a big deal of them.

It doesn`t matter whether you have the game to beat them, what Amy definately has, it`s a question of mental strength.

Amy showed she can stand pressure when she had to face Martina Navratilova and beat her. Hope, she can repeat it...

Amy doesn't hate clay. She actually has a WTA Tour title on this surface and her first ever semifinal was on clay in Brazil Open 1987

I saw her life in Madrid some years ago beating Farina Elia in the quarterfinals..and that was the last time Silvia lost the previous week of Roland Garros :p winning then 3 consecutive Strasbourg titles :worship: :worship:

Go Amy you streak-breaker!! :D

Amy defeated ASV at RG one year. For me that is evidence enough that she can play on clay :p ;)

Red clay is Amys worst surface...not to say that she is extremely bad on it..it is just HER worst. i am not going to go into all the facts here..but she rarely plays the warm ups for the French ( the past few years she even palyed a 50k on clay rather then come over for a warm up)..but in anycase...this 14 year old is playing with the big girls now..Frazier 2 and 3... :wavey:  :bounce: :bounce:

Nerves? She's been saving match points and coming from 1-5 like crazy for the last 2 weeks. She has incredible fighting spirit!

I have no respect for amy...she needs to know when to give up. Ana should get this one against the old buzzard

Oh freakin zip it would you? Amy is having a very solid year. Ana, however, will go into the encounter very much tough and since Amy has not competed in nearly five weeks, Ivanovic could very well win the match.

Amy's got so much experience, but Ana is incredibly tough. And she will not be overpowered, that is for sure.

Ivanovic 6-0 6-0 :ras:

the last top50 player she faced went out in disgrace :D

I doubt it

Ivanovic only beat Bychkova and Gajdosova 7-6 in the 3rd set, and Jeon 7-5 in the 3rd, so I doubt she could double bagel Frazier!

 people talking like she is top 10 already.
