View Full Version : Have you ever seen a ghost?

Feb 25th, 2002, 10:53 PM
I was just wondering if anyone has ever had a supernatural experience and if not, do you believe that ghosts exist?

I have never seen anything spooky like that, so I don't believe in ghosts, but maybe you do?

Did you check if the on/of button is alright?
I believe in ghosts because I heard some scary stories about making circles and so from people who experienced with it and I know they were not lying, they got so scared that they totally freaked out!

My friend lives in an old house and she told me that she once heard voices when she was alone in the house- but I'm not sure if I believe her!

I beleive in ghosts, but haven't seen one myself.

I was at a very old cottage once - that everyone who has been there says they have witnessed something odd or another - a few have even seen images of the ghost, and they all describe exactly the same thing.

When I was there I got up to go to the bathroom at about 4am I guess, and swore I heard footsteps in the living room when I was in the adjacent room.

But it could have been my mind playing tricks on me, or it could have been the fire

The house I lived in untill I was 7 - both my mom and sister say they witnessed things. I dont remember ever seeing or hearing anything though - but I was pretty young, so who knows.

I remember when I was younger I had woken up from a dream and I saw a translucent figure that appeared to be a women dressed like a German Baptist walk out of my room... through a solid door.

It may have been a trick with the light or maybe I was still half dreaming... I'm not sure. I don't know if ghosts exist or not but I think that saying they don't would be rather ignorant because there's no way we can really affirm that.

well ive had two experiences.....one of them was similar to scotso with a translucent figure walking thru a door , the other is embaressing :o !

and i do believe in them.........but i think MOST cases the person has a disease of the mind or is making it up

I live in this village and my house is the one that overlaps slightly onto where the medieval village was, you can tell cos in the summer you can see the imprints of houses on the next field and in our garden (lighter and darker grass, not actual imprints)

Anyways - one of the buildings used to be a school and another an asylum (I kid you not - bearing in mind that asylums then are not like they are now) and the whole village has ghosts - ours is not visible it just makes the room go very, VERY cold - no prior warning, it's quite nice in the summer :p

I saw myself in the mirror today, so...

Feb 26th, 2002, 05:10 PM
LOL @ Terry !:wavey:
I believe in ghosts, and I wish I had seen any, but....

Feb 26th, 2002, 05:58 PM
Lol @Poe! Funny, that thing you mentioned with the tv happens to me as well!

I don't know how I'd react if I saw a ghost. You hear some stories where people say they thought they'd be scared but they felt calm.

Apparently, a pub near where I live is haunted by the ghost of a boy, (they probably had too much to drink!) although no one I know has seen it, and a headless woman is meant to walk around in a field.

I've had a couple of supernatural experiences neither of which includes seeing ghosts.

The first one happened when I was in high school. I woke up one summer night and I felt enveloped by a cold, and creepy feeling that I actually imagined to be death. I slumbered for several hours. Throughout the night, I imagined/dreamed of times I spent with a friend of mine. I awoke and didn't think anything of it. A couple of days later, I learned that my friend had been killed the very night I thought about him. It was as if he was trying to say goodbye right after his last moments on earth.

The second thing happened a few years later. My mother was about to tell us that a young relative had been murdered. I knew who it was before she told me, and I blurted it out so that I would say it before she said it. She asked me who told me, but I couldn't explain how I knew it. I just knew it.

Nothing else has happened since.

I wouldn't say outright that I believe in ghosts. But I do think that there's a whole lot more going on in that realm than we understand. So it's possible.

When I was 13 I an alergic reaction to some medication I was taking for an ear infection and I almost died. I dont remember much about it, but my mother told me that throughout the nite I would mumble someone's name that I called Willie boy. She ask me who it was and I answered your brother.
When my mother was about 10 she was baby sitting her little brother William and he got chocked on a checker and died. She never told me about that incident and and she said that she used to call him Willie boy. My dad said that she cried all nite long. When I woke up, I told her I had a dream that I was playing checkers with a little boy. To this day, my mom never talks about my hospital stay.
