These aren't even B-List titles. :haha:

If "they" is correctly defined as Disney, Sony, Universal, Paramount, Warner Bros. and Dreamworks; major studios with access to major theatrical distribution...

...I say they don't make enough black movies.

Cheers -

They make what sells and what there is a demand for, let them know about it and do something. When "black" movies do come out, buy them, even if you don't really think you will like it.

Yeah you have a point, film companys are very fiancially minded, if they dont think something is going to be a success they wont make it. If the black film audience doesnt provide a big enough audience to ensure that black films (and by this I assume you mean, films with predominantly black characters???, cos what exactly is a 'black' film). I mean I would love it if it was done right, I liked Pam rier in Jackie Brown she kicked ASS! I would love to see Vivica do some kick ass action hero chick, cos she was so HAD in Kill Bill, she could totally pull it off.

OK but I dont really see anyone winging about the lack of black films, on thie board anyway.

A couple of them are decent. Low budget, but decent. Hell, I'm always happy to watch ANYTHING of color.

No I can't pay to go see, booty call or How High or anything like that. I don't want them to make those kinds...I did go see Love Jones and movies like that but it doesn't matter how successful it seems that it's always a struggle to get then next one made regardless.

Some of the best movies from different genre's Have Had blacks playing lead roles, without specifically being what you'd call "black movies". And I don't just mean ones tackling racial issues like In the Heat of the Night and Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?, two of Portier's best roles.

One can even take comedy, where Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor were Fantastically Funny in Seventies Smashes like Silver Streak, Stir Crazy, Blazing Saddles, etc. Nor Do Denzel Washington or Wesley Snipes need "blacks only" parts to get Rave Reviews and um, er, MADD LOOT. :)
