I was driving back fomr my freinds house to where I go to school -its about a 40 minutes drive.
It was just after the game had finishe, and people were out everywhere, wagging flags out of their windows, standing on the curb waving little flags and hockey sticks, beeping their horns - I've never seen anythign like it.
If not for the traffic, and cost, we were going to drive down to Toronto - I hear they closed off part of Younge street cause there are so many people flooding the area?
Even here - with only about 100 000 in the city - the downtown was packed with people partying.
It was a lot of fun to see that! Its rare in Canada that I see people being so patriotic, so it was a good feelings :)
The US did well, and it was a great game for the most part - THe US's ability to kill that penalty when they were 2 man short was beautiful!
Congrats to the Canadian team, and their MVP Sakic! :D

And I know the guy who did the commentary for BBC TV! (Small claim to fame, but worth mentioning). I don't follow Ice Hockey that much, but really enjoyed the match.

yes, jas...but what about tommorow?;) ...and what a save on the former UMD Bulldog (my alma mater) Brett Hull's one timer late in the game to keep Canada ahead-just before Canada came down to flop one past Richter and go uo 4-2...that is hockey--i love it
