They decided to follow the ranking and to give 2 Wc's to rising stars (We hope so)

I do not agree with these WCs
Adriana does not deserve one....she played like s.... all year !!! same (almost) for Antonella...
Alice should have got one, she is coming back after having a baby, and she is playing very well, she deserved a chance to play a big tourney
Margot is ok, though she is not confirming her good results as junior (same happened with Gatto Monticone, Verardi, Gabba, etc...so many players that could not make the big jump)...I would not give Sara a WC, but again, she is young..

Gabriel, I think it's fair to do it by rankings even as badly as Adriana and Antonella have been playing. If you start incorporating too much subjectivity there's going to be more hard feelings.

With that said I'm not sure how fair it is to leave Alice off if she's coming back from pregnancy, is playing well, and is ranked higher than the two upstarts. I'm not as familiar with her and the lower ranked players but I have a thing for tennis playing moms so I can understand your point. ;)

Hi Ed, :wavey: , yes Alice got it, I am very pleased about it, though I think she got it by her own ranking (they picked the first italians in the rankings after Vierin, and these are Casoni and Canepa).

I hope he can do well, maybe win a match, it would be a huge boost to her confidence, I know she is still not sure about a full time tennis career, and she is still quite young (26).

And yes, I have a thing for tennis mums too ;)
