Roby :sobbing: :hysteric:  Great effort though
Nice to see Roby picking up her game. I so want her to break into the Top 100. Should be interesting to see who she draws and how she fares in Rome where I understand she'll be getting a main draw wildcard. :D
Well Done Flavia! :yeah: Very impressive win over Babsi who hasn't been playing badly of late.

I also was present today, it was an extremely long day. The dubs match finished at 8 pm.
Schett played very very bad, made a lot mishits, didn't know what to do at all, Penetta was solid hit hard. Babsi asked her couch during the 2nd set "what sould I do??"
Then I went to Jankovic vs Vinci, I saw the whole final set, there were a lot of turn-arounds.
I was just -ing on Roberta, she plays so well and clever!! A lot of backhand slice then topspin, nice variation with the slice and the netgame, she serve-and-vollyed a couple of times.
Vinci led 4/1 then had double-break-point to go up 5/1 she missed, at 4/2 on her service game they played a marathon game, had many game points, but Jankovic broke back, held then broke again and Jankovic was serving for the match, got broken at 30, then both held in a fighting game, we were at the tie briek.
In the beginning Roberta was a mini break up, then went with serve, and Jankovic won her 1st matchpoint.
We run back to the Centre Court, and Czink just got broken in the opening game.
Tht seemed it would be an eady win for Garbin, Melinda made tons of unforced errors, Garbin was quickly 5/1 up, then Czink started to play better - got one of the breaks back, but Garbin won the set 6/3.
The 2nd set started with serve, the quality of the game rised, Czink played better, more aggrevise, and took the set 6/3.
Melinda seemed she relieved too much at the start of the 3rd set because she lost her sevice game immediately, Garbin played also more aggresive came more to the net, and went 5/1 up, like in the first set.
At this point Melinda got free, played nice and easy, won 2 games quickly, then saved 2 matchponts at 3/5 and held. At 5/4 Garbin had 40-0, Melina played some wonderfull returns and levelled the game back to deuce, but a point later there was the 6th match point, and Garbin took that time with an ace... :(
Of course the crowd was totally behind Melinda (Garbin was complaining to the umpire b/c of that...), in the first row Andrea Temesvári was sitting, she still looks beautiful! :hearts: :)
Then I went to the our local doubles match Gubacsi/Nagy vs. Ács/Fodor. It was fun to watch some great volley battles :D, i saw it from 3/2 to finish.
After that I saw the Cervanova vs. Bartoli match that was very long and quite boring, but very fighty.
Marion led 4/2 and had breakpoints for 5/2 but missed and Cervnova levelled.
There were a lot of breaks - the set finished with the Tiebreak which Cervanova won 7-3. After the set Marion received a medical time out, which lasted about 15 minutes because she had to be groomed in the locker room. She came bach with a taped thigh and didn't move quite well - lost her opening service game at the start of the 2nd set at love. Then fought back and went a break up, led 5/3 had setpoints, but Ludmila saived all of them and won set No. 2. 7/5.
The match took about 2.5 hours.
Finally around 6 pm. there was the debut of the top seed doubles team! :)
It was a tipical women's match, after 15 minutes Foretz/Razzano led 5/0!! Petra and Babsi hardly found the rithym, made a lot of bad decision.
Then fought back to 5/4 and Schett was serving for the 5/5, they had some game points, but the Freanch players reached setpoint at this rally Petra hit an overhead outside the stadium, so the 1st set was over.
In the beginning of the second set there were a lot of very long games - all of them were won by the top seeds. They raised their game, hit more accurat vollies, better passing shots and took the set 6/0.
In the final set Mandula/Schett had a few breakpoints, couldn't convert them, so the third set went with serve till 3/2, when Schett got broken quite easily, but in the next game Razzano got broken too. There were hard-fought games - Mandula/Schett could win them and finally Schett served out the match at love around 8 o'clock.
If the second set were longer/closer, surely the match would have been suspended due to darkness, I think.
