From Reuters:
"SALT LAKE CITY (Reuters) - Triple Olympic gold medallist Johann Muehlegg has tested positive for a new blood-boosting drug with similar properties to EPO (erythropoietin), International Olympic Committee medical committee member Jordi Segura said Sunday.
Segura told reporters the substance detected in a urine sample taken from the German-born skier, who was competing for Spain at the Salt Lake Games, was darbepoetin. He said the substance was not specifically named on the IOC's list of banned substances."

He looked superhuman in all races. In the 30K he almost ridiculed the world elite, even though he had struggled in World Cup races prior to the Olympics. Now we know why.
Apparently, he will only be stripped of his third gold medal from the 50K race yesterday. Instead Ivanov of Russia takes it (if the b-sample confirms, of course).
I think he should lose all his gold medals. No one will ever recognize him as an true Olympic champion, only as a drug-cheating Olympic champion. But he's certainly not the only one to deserve that label.
