Who is the freakin better player of these two: 752-ranked Virginie Ayassamy of France or 774-ranked Kika Hogendorn of the Netherlands?

Based on rankings I say Ayassamy how bout the freakin lot of you?

Chose now and be prepared for some heated debates on the matter.....

Kika Hogendorn is clearly the better of the two.

Are you blind or just plain stupid?! :fiery: It's *obvious* Virginie is the better player, anyone with half a brain could figure that much out...God!

Just for that, you are getting a negative rep  Allez Virginie, keep on rocking!!!

Hogendorn is better because her first name begins with a 'K' and we all know that signifies greatness  ...

... or just a misguided sense of self importance :o.

I´m Dutch and I want Kika Hogendoorn to win, but I think she won´t. Virginie Ayassamy is the better player and will win in 2 sets.

Is she related to Esmir Hogendoorn?

Virginie Ayassamy (http://home17.inet.tele.dk/wta/sp/ayas2038.htm) vs Kika Hogendoorn (http://home17.inet.tele.dk/wta/sp/hoge2034.htm)

Qual 2 Le Havre (http://angelfire.com/space2/wta2/tur2003/leha1391.htm) Nov 16 2003 V Ayassamy - K Hogendoorn(11) 2-6 6-3 6-1

Ayassamy is definitely the better player, not only is she 6 years younger, but she has beaten Hogendoorn before and isn higher ranked.

To my notice they are not related. Kika´s surname is ´Hogendoorn´ and Esmir´s surname is ´Hoogendoorn´ (two o´s).

Very interesting. But technically it's the same surname just a variant in spelling right?

Yup that's cool. It's curious sometimes when you see players with unusual surnames and then wonder if they might be related.

Another example is Angelique and Jenifer Widjaja. Even though Jenifer is Brazilian-Indonesion, she evidentally is not related at all to her higher-ranked counterpart.

Kika Kogendorn is better in my mind, but only because I immediately thought of Haagen-Daz ice cream when I read it. :o
