View Full Version : Lori Petty: Any fans in the world except me?

My fave people and things, for some reason tend towards being relatively obscure...the general reaction I guess would be: Who?

Man City, Julie Halard, and Lori...all lesser known, all overlooked.

All absoultey wonderful too! :)

There ARE Lori fans in the world, just not many of them. But there should be! All right, Tank Girl isn't the best film in the world, and nearly killed her career, but she was downright great in Point Break and A League of their own. Not to mention Free Willy. (ahem)

Check out her great, understated performance in The Glass Shield, or her brilliant reading of the Stephanie Plum stories on Book CD's...

Hollywood rarely prouces someone like her , who cares about her fans, who is smart and funny and different.

If there was any justice she'd be in big movies again, not popping up in occassional guest roles on TV.

Lori Petty is a top lass! :) :) :)

So the search is on, any genuine Lori fans here? Surely Im not the only one with taste? (I probably am ;) )

Lori with Wagner. Don't ask.

Wish there were some internet pics of Lori that did her justice!

No ur not Chris ;) Im obviously not as big a fan as u tho :o hehe, but I loved her in A League Of Their Own and Tank Girl. Tank Girl wasnt the best film, but she was great in it IMO ;) Also, wasnt she in some short lived US sitcom? I cant remember what it was called...its a pity she's not around much no more...how old is she BTW?

Also, arent u a fan of Brittany Murphy too? Now *that* is one fine talented young actress, great taste u have there!!! :D

Again, not as big of a Lori fan as you (don't think that's possible ;)), but I also loved her in A League Of Their Own :) It's one of my all-time fave movies :)

Who the hell is Barrie-Dude! ;)

For those who don't watch movies...Lori looked on the path to big time stardom in the early nineties, appearing in a sprinkling of big movies...she played Geena Davis' kid sister in A League of their Own, surf babe and Keanu's girlfriend in Point Break and um the whale trainer in Free Willy(!)...things went a bit wrong, with Tank Girl losing loads of money, and her getting fired from Demolition Man, so know she shows up as guest star in stuff like Star Trek and Brimstone...

Yes Iva's 1 fan, after seeing Brittany in the truly wonderful Drop Dead Gorgeous Ive become a fan, even renting Cherry Falls, which except for Brittany wasn't too good! (VERY predictable!)

She is pretty great!

Lori is my fave though. :)
