Friday I was playing my team's #1, (I play #2). I lead 5.0, 40-0, when I couldn't believe what was about to happen, therefore I missed two easy points, but then won 6.0 and took the 2nd set 6.0, losing about 10 points.

lol yea. he's a senior, i'm a freshman, he won the tri county tournament last year at #1 singles, which is composed of the best teams in our league. i knew that i could have a really good year playing #2 but maybe a losing season at #1...alot of teams have some awesome seniors. but i'll probably play #1 for our last few matches to get some experience for next year.

Wow, why don't you join the ATP tour, you play very well if you can beat the no.1 that easy! I hope I could see your names on TV one day. :woohoo::hatoff:

:haha: hs tennis is nothing like the actual tour. I least I doubt it is. If you beat him like that, you should be the #1 regardless if you are a freshman. We used to have matches all the time to determine rank when I was in hs. Start now so you are the best in district next year. :)

lol yea i know jarett...the level i'm at now couldn't buy me a game on the tour on my best days. i am going to challenge him today, so hopefully i'll play number one for the last few matches.

A golden set would mean you won all points and all games....

Similar situation to me about 5 years ago, I was 12 then.

I had won all the pts, opponant serving 0-5 0-40, I dumped a service return into the net, but then won the next pt.
His poor dad  :p

Thereby just losing 1 pt in the set/match. [only 1 set comps when I was 12 :p ]

Two main reasons:

a) INJURY: I cramped my leg at 4-0.

b) It was windy, cold...... He got better and I thought more about how to finish it without to risk getting more injured....
