Obviously, you'll have to guess at seedings. So please tell us where you expect someone to be seeded.

i'm guessing they will put venus seeded higher than her rank, well it would actually depend how much more she moves up the rankings before the french, but i'm pretty sure she will be seeded in the top 8

Assuming she plays...MONICA! Why? Because I decree it!

Vera will win the tournament, therefore will play above her seeding.

:wavey: If Molik gets a seed she will play above it, she's about to explode in tourneys....mark my word IMO:wavey: I also think Vera will have a great FO (depending on seeds etc).:wavey:

RG always has a surprise quaterfinalist. If Justine is still weak she maybe upset and someone in her section may make the QF. Serena's quarter also remains to be seen, depends on how her knee holds up in the next tourny she plays.
So far Kim and Amelie seem to have done well at fed cup, looks like they are finally healthy, good news for the fans.

I wish that you made this thread right before it started and not SO far away. Cause then we would have a better idea of what form people are playing at. Right now, responses will just be complete guesses and not much reason to them.

But that would be easy! And you wouldn't have to figure out the seedings. We'd already know who's playing and who's not. Folks oughta hafta work a little.

Why should we have to figure out the seeds ourselves? That is dumb. I like the idea of the thread (by seeing who will go further than they are "suppose" to) but it is too early imo.

The top 12 or so seeds are fairly easy to work out... Justine, Serena, Kim, Venus, Amelie, Lindsay, Nastya and Nadia will be top 8. The order might change, but I don't see anyone catching Nadia... and V and S will get special seedings. So 9-12 are likely to be Jenn, Vera... and probably Ai and Sveta. 13-32, obviously anything can happen. (All of this assumes that everyone plays.)

So much will depend on the draw... if one of the big four is not 100%, then whichever of Amelie/Lindsay/Nastya/Nadia she draws has a great chance of upsetting her. If Amelie gets Vera or Sveta in the fourth round, and is nervous... that could be an upset in the making.

Venus will be seeded 10, and she will play above that seeding.

Uh, has that EVER happened? Even when she won her slams she had a lot to improve upon. But still light years above the rest. Go VENUS!

No. In classic epic battles, when both players are playing their best one still loses.

There has never been a match with both players playing their BEST. There have been plenty with both playing well, but not their best.
