Since this has been coming up lately, I thought I'd start a thread. A lot of folks here follow players really closely (I stick to about three or four); maybe you can shed some light on these players MIA

Angeles Montolio

Lenka Dlhopolcova(sp?)

Wynne Prakusya

And any others you guys can think of.

Thanks

Aren't those people retired? The three players I named are still young as far as I know and current.

Last I heard Gaby Sabatini was at the Nasdaq.

Wynne Prakusya has just been struggling the past year or so. She played pretty well in Fed Cup for Indonesia last week, so mabye she's coming back up. She's only 23!

OK, current players:

Dani Kix
Asa Svenson
Matea Mezak

Plus 2 decent juniors as late as '02 who sorta disappeared, Andreja Klopec and Zsuzsanna Babos.

Angeles Montolio - I believe someone posted that she retired, after a short disappointing return last year.

Wynne Prakusya - I know she played Aussie Open... so I think she's still around.

Asa Svensson - She's been playing all year... for more on her, ask Alek. :)

Ally Baker just sucks... and is your typical lazy American player.

Kaia has been playing very well this year... and is closing in on Top 100. Plus, she's hot. :)

Hsieh just played a challenger last week.

Wynne Prakusya has been struggling with injuries since late last year. She did played OZ open, and she just played the Fed Cup and helped Indonesia to qualify for the World Group play off for the 2nd year in a row.

Dani Kix is playing again, although really struggling at the 10K level. :O

I'm sure Matea is injured, it's really unlike her not to play alot of tournaments. :p Although she's xommited to an upcomming challenger (see her thread ;) )

Andreja Klepac is also back, last I heard she made the Semis at the 10K Casablanca event. :)

I think Lenka Dlhopolcova has quit... either that or her injury was really serious. She hasn't played since RG 2002, and back then she was rising up the ranks quite rapidly.

Katya Syssoeva got pregnant last year and retired... there's info somewhere in Russian Roulette I think.

Andreja Klepac has a WC to Budapest this week... no idea why. She did OK in the weak Nigerian challengers earlier this year and is ranked 754.

Zsuzsanna Babos has been playing $10k challengers, but not doing brilliantly. Ranked 439.

I can't even remember Prakusya's last decent result... she's down to 242

Andrea Temesari was coaching the Hungarian team last week in FedCup and Szuszana Babos has been playing the satellte circuit but she has been struggling as of late.

I think Babos will be playing collegiate tennis in the states next year?

Sandra Nacuk junior no.7 1995 played some GS, but there are no results in last 2 years
also Tatjana Jecmenica in top 100 1997,98 but since 1999 no results, and she is like 23,24

Yvette Bastings??

Yvette Basting retired officially in 2003. She was injured over and over again. She was a very promissing junior, but injuries kept her out most of the time. A nagging foot injury made that Yvette called it a quit at age 26.

I remember reading on this site that Lenka Dlhopolcova was struggling with anorexia after some comments co-players made about her weight. I don´t know if its true....
