to pass injured Ai who has 2053 pts, Venus needs 382 pts which she will not be able to get from bonus points in a field with only 1 top 10.

However, Vera who defends her Bol's titlist points in Warsaw this year,
she has 1984 pts with 131 pts to defend, so in safe 1853 (top 16) pts,
so she needs exactly 200 pts to pass Ai, a semi will not do it,
she needs at least a final beating 3 top 25 player (or 2 + 1 top 35) (137 + 3x23=216)
However at the current condition, Venus should be able to avoid upsets,
which means Vera should be expecting Venus once again blocking her return to top 10.

So you guys can start hyping their H2H which happens in about 5 days:)

Assuming everything goes the way it is supposed to and Vera beats Venus in a semifnal, her stay in the top ten will be brief as she will have to defend her quartefinal points at the FO.

I don't do numbers but I imagine since venus has finalist's points to defend she may get back into the top ten after Berlin where she can only gain points. Can't both Vera and venus make the top ten after berlin?

The maximum Venus can accumulate is 342 points. So 342-183= 159. 159+1854=2013. That would put her at #11 at the most.

Venus can't get into the top ten period. However for Vera she must beat Venus and make the final to make top ten.
