Well Jon and Randy, wouldn'cha know it'd be us three here at the board together cheering on Arantxa! *LOL* My friend in Berlin told me it was in the paper that Arantxa had asked for a wild card for this tournie, but how did we find out she will be playing with Anabel here? (I mean, makes sense, would make even MORE sense if they enter a hard court tournie [like Montreal, hey, "shoe-boy"] but at least they will get used to playing with each other a bit. Hope Anabel uses that big serve I saw her use at Amelia! :)

Well, it looked to me like she was in great shape when I saw her at Amelia. I hope she does well here! :D

She *did* look fit in Amelia, didn't she? I have one halfway decent pic (out of at least 20 that I took, a photographer I am not!) which I will try to post here if I can figure out how to (so far my luck at doing this has not been so good!)

I still can't believe Arantxa will actually be playing on the tour again and it won't sink in until I see the draw. Remember what it was like to be nervous and excited about a draw? I am feeling that again now :D

Hi guys! Rarely do I post on here nowadays but this topic is definitely worth breaking the trend for! I didn't know Arantxa even planned to come back and play doubles although I suspected she would. Hope y'all are doing okay :) !

Well, Jan, she *said* "absolutely not, no way" (and this doubles is "just for fun" and to prepare for the Olympics which is "more serious") but I guess we can always hope... In a way, though, I enjoy watching her play doubles even more than singles cuz she's just so gosh-darn funny! *ROFL* (remembering the "grandstand moves" the night she and Daniela played Vivi and Poli at Amelia in 2002 at about midnight -- what fun we had!)

She will, however, be playing mixed doubles at the French and Wimbie (both with Todd W.) -- I hope they get some TV time! Otherwise I ain't seeing her at all and this, I think, might kill me! *LOL*
