What is up with Ai lately, she hasn't been looking good. She should beat any player on this team in straights but she has seemed off for a number of weeks! They're still in it though...GO JAPAN!!!

Her grandfather passed away in march.

Ai didn't play well today, too many unforced errors and too many double faults. But you have to give credit to Gisela Dulko, because she played very well today!

well done Paola

you was complicated in the third set when Ai was 7-6 3-6 4-0 but your confidence in yourself make possible the 5-4 and then the injury of Ai the 7-6 final

you are a big player Paola

Congrats to Argentina....

I feel sorry for Ai for getting injured... How will her chance for RG and Olympics be?

I didn't know that he passed away  , I thought he was just sick for a while, oh well that could be a reason....hmmm...I hope she starts to feel and play better soon! :)

It's on clay...

She plays very well on clay usually, so I'm not sure why you think that may be an answer....

Why the ? I wasn't trying to be offensive or anything. I know Ai plays well on clay (RG 4R last year) but Dulko is a claycourter. If the match had been played on hardcourts, THEN I would be surprised if Ai lost.
