Babsi beat Monica Seles 7-6 6-2 and Meghann Shaughnessy 4-6 7-6 9-7 in 2002 and Majoli & Kostanic later that year. She is a Fed Cup legend.

if she played like that in tour matches she would easily be in the top 20.

Babsi II is a clutch Fed Cup player when healthy (as BJK, Meghann, and *OMG* Monica could tell you). Of course, AUT's '02 tie with the US in Charlotte, NC (which they Won Without The Then injured Babsi I, BTW) is um, like, er better remembered for events prior To The matches!

Great fighting wins from both Austrian Babsi's today! Schett was also down a break in the 3rd and pulled it out! I would love to see both of them playing at their potential!!!! Scwartz is so talented- it's been such a shame that injuries have always plagued her!

Babsi II had a great coach from childhood into '02 (Bernd Wetter).
