Kim CLIJSTERS (BEL) v Jelena KOSTANIC (CRO)
Kirsten FLIPKENS (BEL) v Karolina SPREM (CRO)
Kim CLIJSTERS (BEL) v Karolina SPREM (CRO)
Kirsten FLIPKENS (BEL) v Jelena KOSTANIC (CRO)
Els CALLENS/Elke CLIJSTERS (BEL) v Jelena KOSTANIC/Iva MAJOLI (CRO)

I though she would...

Belgium put forth Callens and Elke for doubles. Jelena and Iva are, I believe, undefeated in FED Cup doubles. Good chance for Croatia to win it!

they can always change it later ;)

Kim might play if its a live rubber.

Croatia can definitely take this match if they step up to the plate. Kim & the Belgian Contingent are mostly ailing.

So Good Luck To All!

I'm sure Kim will win her 2 singles. She loves the pace Sprem will play.

I hope Kirsten will win the fourth singles. If not, the doubles will be decisive.

So I go for 3-2 Belgium :)

Don't forget that Kostanic (although on hardcourt) lost to nobody in IW this year. She may have reached thed SF at Charleston but prior to SF she played 3 players who were ranked below her and only Mandula was ranked higher! Sprem is tired and in my opinion shouldn't be playing. I think she was 'forced' to play after she said in a live telephone conversation she will miss the tie!

Udachi Belgium :D :yeah:

The Elke/Els combination is slightly underrated, both are good doubles players and I would pick them over Kostanic/Majoli. :)

I'm surprised Kim's playing and hope she's not taking unnecessary risks.

Exactly if it is live expect Kim on court if the wrist is okay that is, she practically said so in the interview on the fed cup site where she said she could have 3 matches:p ;) Also Kim has never been named in doubles but has played twice with Els and won both times including first round last year:)

If it's a live rubber, Kim would most definitely play. The real question is, who would she play with? Els Callens is the more experienced player, but Kim would probably be more comfortable playing with her sister. Hmmmmm.....

No I think Kim would probably be more comfortable with Els they are 2-0 in fed Cup she and Elke are 1-1 in their win/loss. Els is very experienced and would take pressure of Kim, If Kim were to play with Elke that would put a lot more pressure on Kim. Els has two titles and a runner up on the doubles court this year she is in great form in doubles. IF it is 2-2 I think VanAken would go with kim/Els.
