Chairman of J&S said that they could sell this event. They have problems with administration. It's hard to transact all licences and certifications in Warsaw.  Three city : Prague, Bratilslava and Geneva are the main candidates to buy this even.

Yea this event is kinda fun, I hope it doesnt go, but an event in Prague would be good for the WTA tour, because there are a lot of upcoming Czech players. But yea its a shame cos this event was always packed out when I saw it on TV and the crowd went bananas after every point.

Why DOESN'T Spain host at least a Tier II? They have players with world-wide name recognition among fans.

That's a shame  But at least there's still Sopot.

I know a certain player that wouldn't mind it being played in Geneva, though ;)

Prague is such a beautiful place and would be ideal to host a tournament of this calibur.

I hope it stays in Poland, If it doesn't Prague would be a good candidate followed by Bratislava. Madrid or Barcelona would also be nice at this time of year.

What kind of licences and certifications? What were the exact problems? Is it government problem? I don't know much about tournament adminstration.

Just a guess, but I think they are losing sponsorship, that's where most of the money's from.
Spain tennis association is running out of money, Germany tennis association is running out of money, I wonder who is next. However, now that Europe is losing a clay tier II, how about say, an Asian clay tier II right after Fed:)

They shouldn't sell it. The tour should eliminate tournaments like these who are struggling to get rid of a crowded calendar...Sorry for Polish fans though!!
