What about using a little team work to help accomplish a common goal...more tennis!!
I bugged the hell out of my local cable carrier with phone calls, emails and letters. I think they got it just to shut me up. :p
hmmm... I know I've called a couple of times and my local cable provider says until more people show some sort of a demand, there's no hope of getting the channel added. I think all of us who don't get the tennis channel should all should work together and help each other out.

I'd be more than happy to get my cellphone out and make a few calls to those areas in need. If all of you out there can list your cable provider with a phone number (toll free works best,) we can all call each others providers and put in a request.... at this point I'm desperate so I'm trying to think outside the box. But this will only work if we actually make the necessary calls.

Toll Free numbers are preferable:
Long Beach, CA- (CHARTER CABLE) toll free- 866-499-8080 (hit zero)

Cameron Giles' (COMCAST)- 215-665-1700

But excuse me, if you call to my cable provider, the first think that they will ask you before they even listen to you will be who you are, where you live, etc.. Are you going to lie?

Exactly, that was the first question I got, what is your phone number, account number, etc.

I sent faxes to every tennis club/equipment sales place in town and to the people that head up WTT here. Still didn't get enough calls to make a difference...

I'm all for helping out in any way I can though.

We won't call yours then. :p

I called both Comcast and Charter. Charter just asked for my last name and Comcast asked if I currently had service and I told them that I wanted to see what they had to offer before i decided, the lady said she took down my request....so we'll see.

dokicfan- I keep calling yours after business hours, I'll call earlier next time....

Amazingly, RI, the home of the International Tennis Hall of Fame does not offer the Tennis Channel. We have Cox and it's not an option. Would love some support!
401-383-2000 or they have a contact us option through email:

The best thing to say is that you have a DISH, and that you are interested in switching to cable, but wont until they get the Tennis Channel! The cable companies are very frightened of the dishes, and will do alot to stomp them out. I live in a Comcast area (Detroit suburbs, MI) and they dont have it yet! But I will call, and see if we can get this going!

I got three calls back from Comcast's corp offices...I swear if they get a few more calls they will add it...Anessa (a marketing rep) already told me that The Tennis Channel is one of the three most requested channel...come on guys...lets make it happen...:D

With a little team work maybe somebody who doesn't have the tennis channel will by the end of us calling....that's the goal.
