He knocked the Japanese skater down and finished third but then got disqualified. He still has the relay though. I got tired of hearing his name and I was glad the Canadian edged out the Korean who had gotten disqualified in an earlier event. I love the upsets.:)

Is there such a thing as a clean race in this sport? You think you are tired of him? I live in Seattle. Actually, he seems like a nice kid (from his interviews-I do not know him personally!)

I like Apolo :D I just got home from a party though so I haven't seen tape yet of what happened but if he deserved to get DQ then it's ok although I'm still sad  But on the bright side, Canada finished one and two in the 500 and won the relay! GO CANADA!!!

OMG, Justice?????

A lot of hate in this room (not talking to you treufreund, but you shouldn't be happy somebody got DQ'd).

Rules are rules, and if you know anything about short track you would know that all DQ's have been extremely fair, including Apollo's. He even acknowledged what he had done and literally laid off the pack.

Congrats to Mark Gagnon for his first individual gold and another team Gold! ;)

If it couldn't have been an American, I'm glad it was a Canadian! :)

Yes he got DQ'd, yes he deserved it, yes he knew he did it, yes he accepted responsibility.

Why so negative... he's just an athlete like everybody elese. He can't help the fact that the media are always tailing him.

Oh well, congrats on the 2 medals you did win Apolo, see you in 2006.

Well, I am just glad that the judges judged right for once. I don't hate Ohno, but I think the way he won Gold the other day by acting up was just pathetic.

Ummm.....the one who broke the rules the other night was the South Korean skater, not Ohno. He very clearly violated Ohno's lane. Ohno violated the Japanese skater's lane tonight and he got DQ'd. Furthermore, he didn't throw his own flag to the ice in disgust when it happened...he immediately let up and and slowed down because he knew he would be DQ'd. It happens all the time in short track.

Yep, Apolo finally got what he deserves.

1. A silver medal.
2. A wonderfully-earned gold medal.
3. International fame and adoration.
4. The envy of insecure people who feel the need to hate people they don't know.

Yep. He got what he deserves. :)

Apolo is the bomb and seems like a real sweet kid...I can't be happy about his DQ. Even when the Korean kid lost his medal I felt bad.

Anyway great job Apolo!:)

Well, it's common in the sport, and I think it just shows that the Korean's gold medal loss by DQ had nothing to do with some pro-American conspiracy that some want to believe. It happens to the best of them.

Anyway, HUGE congrats to Marc Gagnon, one of the greatest short track speed skaters of all time :) Finally he has won his first individual gold medal! :D Long overdue ;)

Ignore TBE, he's just bitter from the Russian's dismal performance in the 2002 Winter Olympics.

Apolo has 2 medals....most people have none! :)

Oh, and TBE, I'm sure if he was Russian you would be defending him on your last breath. I'm really disappointed in you, I thought you were more fair minded as evidenced by your tennis knowledge.

And to Vixen, a life full of hatred leads to sorrow. :)

I am sorry what about that he acknowledge the defeat, he was quoted as saying.

``I was waiting, waiting for an opportunity to pass,'' Ohno said. ``The Japanese guy was wide on the corner and I came up on him. I barely touched him. He's so light, I think he was going down already.''

I'm not bitter, just glad he got his just deserts

that Korean should never have been DISQ.
