hey,
I just have an idea: To make the game even more realistic as it is, we could make player profiles with statistical dates like Birthday, Birthplace etc.
We could say something about the best achievements so far and summaries from the tournament results. Prize Money could be here as well.
To make it easier we should start now with the dates and leave out prize money prior than 2004. Titles could be counted for sure! What do u think about that?

CAREER IN REVIEW:

2004 – Began very well in the Gold Coast, leading the table after the second round, only to collapse to 12th in one day and ended up outside the top 10, finished in the low 20’s in Sydney and a very lousy 58th at his first home town Grand Slam, the Australian Open, bettered his debut in Tokyo with a finish of 24th, then finally came to form for the first time this season, narrowing take out the Paris Open Gaz de France tournament with a 1 point victory of rival sandg in the final, he went on to come 9th in Doha, which remains his 3rd best result for the season, finishing 16th in Indian Wells just bettered that, with pressure in Miami, he faulted on his last two picks to finished outside the top 20 and then had a miserable 44th place finish in Amelia Island… 2003 – First pro event was Tokyo TPP, finishing 32nd, started to become a consistent player with top 8 finishes in both Dubai and Scottsdale, major breakthrough in Miami, finishing 2nd behind petosp and was described as “very consistent” in Simon’s commentary, he retained his form throughout the clay court season, reaching another final in Budapest falling to jindrich 77, he was unable to finish in the top 8 in Berlin/Rome/Madrid, but played an unbelievable first Grand Slam tournament in Roland Garros to finish 4th, had a stellar grass court season, notching an early lead in Birmingham only to finish 3rd and coming 2nd at the prestigious Wimbledon tournament behind compatriot aussie_stars, continued good form with top 10 finishes in San Diego and Stanford, before undergoing a minor slump but did reach the fourth round of the US Open, returned to form in Bali where he captured his first ever PAW title with a convincing 13 pt victory of azza in the final, best results in the Indoor circuit were a semi-final in Zurich and notched 6th place finishes in Quebec City and Luxembourg, at the Year End PAW Masters, he qualifed as the 2nd highest player on the race and justified his seeding by ending 2nd, he ended one point behind butch in the final, as he bettered Wojtek’s position he claimed the World No 1 ranking when the rankings were released after the championships, went on to help Australian reach the Fed Cup final but faltered by 0.5 pts to India.

PERSONAL

Travels around the PAW circuit with best friend andrew_uk (GBR) ... prefers grass and hardcourts to any other slower surface ... hobbies include tennis, movies, music, biking, public speaking, working out, jigsaw puzzles, music … Has two dogs, a fox terrier (Delta) and Beagle (Merlin) ... Started following tennis seriously in 1997, but was brought to the game via the Hopman Cup which screened at the same time of another TV show … Most memorable non-PAW experience was a week with his friends in Mildura for a camp in 2002 … Most memorable PAW experience was winning the Paris Open Gaz De France 2004 … Favourite colour is grey ... other sports interests are beach-volleyball and athletics … Is fluent in English only but learnt German in high school … Self-described as open, outgoing, friendly, emotional and on-court determined, motivated and competitive … Enjoys good food (pasta), chocolate and pizza … Favourite tournament is Wimbledon … Favourite players are Todd Reid (ATP) and Alicia Molik (WTA) ... Admires Monica Seles and Mother Teresa … Greatest thing about being a touring pro PAW player is touring the world and learning more life skills through his management duties in PAW.

PERSONAL QUOTES

On being No 1: “What I really had to do was not only pick with my conscience, but to check up head-to-heads, betting odds, other people’s PAW’s, it seems like a real tough fire drill for me each day.”

On PAW: “This game has really got me into every little aspect of it, whether that be supporting a player to hold serve in a match of concern, it’s amazing. But it means quite a lot for me to do well and to have that success to something to remember.”

On his stupidest PAW decision: “2004 Gold Coast, I was leading the field and then decided not to pick “Stosur over Serna” and I dropped from 1st to 12th in one day, it felt painful because I had belief in Sam but I wanted to win PAW too much, even if I had picked her and she’d lost, I would have ended the tournament 3rd, it was a really painful start to the year which seemed to have haunted me since.”

On the diversity of PAW: “I think it’s great, we have so many patriotic countries competing, it really does feel real, the competition these days is just so daunting, we had 112 players in Miami, more than the 96 in the WTA Tour.”

On the management of the game: “We have come along way from the Marco era which only lasted a few months, and now I think it’s as good as it can gets. Sandg, me and the other PAW staff put a lot of effort in, I think we have had like 7 different League Table managers this year, I mean I don’t think you could say that about any other WTAWorld Game."

On his best friends on Tour: “You know, I really get on well with andrew_uk, we both share the same passion for the game and respect each other for who we are, I am also good friends with crazillo, Nir, paellapan, ghosts, bionic71, Hantuchov, _shorty_, azza and I’m starting to get to know some of the Canadians well."

On his Australian Open performance: “You know, I was really disappointed but I did learn a thing. I tried to cut it too fine, meaning I went for four big 20+ pointers, instead of just yielding some nice 10+ totals like everyone else. I think most of us seem overwhelmed by all the big pointers in the first few rounds that we tend to forget the nice 10 pointers, I mean there haven’t been much of those in the latter part of tournaments this year and they are harder to pick then.”

On being a the PAW manager: “You know, it’s a lot of work, yeah, but I feel it is for a good reason. It’s not like I’m doing something that no one would realize or appreciate, I have over 100 active and appreciative players, I just feel in love of this game and I’ll do anything to make it continue. As for al the extra features, I guess you can call it a hobby really."

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS:

SF: In his 7th tournament, crazillo had his first SF finish at Estoril, where he was 2nd after some days but stayed in a good place! This is one of the best german achievements so far on the Tour!

Round 32: In only his 4th Tour Event, this promising German player reaced a good 17th place at Indian Wells and followed with a good 32nd place at AI.

CAREER IN REVIEW:
2004 – Began at Antwerp where a strong field including world No. 1 SpikeyAidanm
and reached a rather good Round of 64 result. In Dubai he was close to get his first
Ranking points but failed the Round of 32 by some places. After the first points in
Doha he had his breakthrough on the tour, where he gave the high seeds much
trouble with his 17th place (nearly Round of 16 spot). After a disappointing
Miami tournament he reached a good 32nd place in Amelia Island.

QUOTES
• About his friends on the tour:
I love hanging around with my German mates because my English is not extremely well. But people such as SpikeyAidanm or ghosts, who can speak flawless German as well, are really nice and speaking with them is really cool!

• About being a PAW pro:
It is harder for others than me to be away nearly the whole year because my family is splitted and when there is noone I still have my great PAW friends to talk with.

• About the development of his career:
I am not so happy with my achievements so far, because I had a lot of success on the Doubles circuit and I am still waiting to transfer it into singles. I am happy to have high ranked friends like SpikeyAidanm or ghosts how respect me despite of the fact I am very inexperienced in Singles. But on the other hand I can give some advice in doubles!

2004 IN REVIEW
Started the year in Hobart and finished a disappointing 14th ; went to first Grand Slam and was overtaken by nerves with a tough 1st Round showing ; Went into Tokyo and didn’t fully perform, finishing another lackluster performance at 72nd ; Played horrible in Paris, finishing 46th ; playing through an injury in Memphis, came through with a 17th place finish ; still in injury and worse than ever, finished 27th out of 28 PAW-ers in Bogota ; Had first good performance of the year, finishing 12th in a tough field in Acapulco, after leading after the first round ; continued great form at Indian Wells, with a well earned 37th ; Had best tournament ever, making Quarter-Final in Miami (8th) (at tournament known as the “5th Grand Slam”) ; still playing great, finished just out of Quarter-Final of Casablanca with a T-9th place finish ; another great tournament in Charleston, with an even 20th place ; had an awesome tournament in Warsaw, starting 2-3 and ending 7-1 to finish the tournament 9-4 and just out of the Quarterfinals, with T-9th ; Was disappointed in Berlin, finishing tied for 54th...

2003 IN REVIEW
Started career at AIG Japan Open with a strong Quarter-Final performance ; Followed that up with a good 20th place in Tashkent despite not fully committing himself ; Continued awesome rookie form with a Round of 16 performance in Luxembourg ; Ended the year for himself with a 17th place finish in his home country (in Quebec), said, “I wish I could have performed better for my fans in my home”.

Personal

Travels the tour with Canadian PAW-ers and sometimes Spikeyaidanm…favourite surface is Hardcourts…has a dog (Pepper) and loves him…loves soccer, tennis, volleyball, beach volleyball, acting/public speaking and making people laugh…most memorable moment was going to B.C School Soccer Provincials with his school, where he was recognized as one of the top players, taking home a 1st Team All-Star…most memorable PAW moment was finishing 8th in the “5th Grand Slam”…known as a motivative, happy and very emotional off the court…on court (or field), is very determined and pumped-up…Admires Andre Agassi (ATP) and Akiko Morigami (WTA)…

Quotes

On PAW in general… “It’s fun to be able to play with players that you know are you friends and respect you. I love the competition and you just wanna do better than your friends!”

On His Friends… “Everyone is a friend, to be cheesy. But my best friends on tour are definitely Spikey, Shaun, Nathan, Paellapan, Hantuchov, and anyone else…you need friends in PAW (*laughs*).”

On The People In Charge… “The game is run really well. Spikey, sandg, Nitsansh and all those other guys working their asses off to make sure everything runs smoothly. It’s fantastically done, and it makes it the best run game on board, for sure.”

CAREER IN REVIEW:

2004 - Starrted the year with a R64 in Goald Coast but was Quarter-Finalist in Sydney the week after. Reached 2nd round in the first grand slam of the year in Melbourne. Opened the indoor season with two R32 in Tokyo and Paris and reached R16 in Antwerp. In Dubai he failed in R64 but went to the clay in Acapulco and took another R16 to his resume. Had an awful hardcourt trip to the US with R128 at 2 tier I in California and Miami, then he continued with another R128 in Amelia Island but got good result on Charleston clay R16 that put him at #15 his high career. 2003 - Got to Helsinki's Semi-finals in a great debut and go on to get another SF this time in a big tournament in Montreal, then he went to New Haven and won his first and only title (for now) and to finish his amazing hardcourt season in the US he clinched a SF in his first grand slam in his career - the US Open. Then came two bad tournaments in the far east. Then he went to the indoor season in europe and finished a solid 27th in Leipzig and ended up as a QF in Moscow, then he followed with 3 R16 performances in Filderstat, Zurich and Linz and finished the year with yet another QF in pattaya and finished the year as #29

CAREER IN REVIEW:

2004 – Started the year in great shape with a first carreer title in Gold Coast. This victory was rewarded with a place in the top 50 on the rankings, and a first place in the PAW Race To Championships. Continued his good Australian summer season with a 13th place finish in Sydney, but failed to bring that good form into the Australian Open (82nd). Bad results followed in Tokyo (65th) and Paris (90th). Regained some confidence playing at home in Antwerp, finishing a decent 16th. A second highlight of the season came with a semi final appearence in Dubai. Made it to a fine 18th place in Doha. Seeded for the first time in a tournament (31st) in Indian Wells, but fell to the pressure, ending 54th. Lost his confidence as a result, and played terribly during a month, before deciding to try it again at a lower level. 2003 – Made his first appearence on the tour in Wimbledon, finishing a reasonable 43th. Had some consistent results in the American hard court season: San Diego (23th), Los Angeles (10th) and Toronto (14th). First carreer highlight in New Haven, narrowly losing the final with his final pick. Made a jump of 20 places to enter the top 100 for the first time at 81. Lost in the second round of the US Open. A few bad results followed, untill a 5th place in Moscow put him back on track. A carreer second best result followed with a 4th place finish in Filderstadt. Ended the year in good form with 3 top 20 finishes: Luxembourg (19th), Philadelphia (14th) and Pattaya (16th)

CAREER IN REVIEW:
2004 – Made his debut at Indian Wells finishing 29th. Surprised the elite with a quarterfinal finish in Miami in a strong field. Fell back a little after a lacklustre performance in Casablanca finishing only 14th. Made up with his best ever performance in Estoril with a semi-final finish.

PERSONAL

Has a Dutch father, but an American mother. Speaks both Dutch and English fluently as a result. Also speaks German, French and a little Italian. Travels the PAW tour with his wife, who is his personal inspiration. Enjoys playing and practicing with his fellow PAW players as long as they are friendly and honest. Self described as an easy-going sort of person with a sense of humour. Next to tennis enjoys skiing, jogging and ice-skating. Is a travel fanatic and loves visiting the cultural highlights of the cities he plays in. Favorite players are Tommy Robredo (ATP) and Conchita Martinez (WTA).

QUOTES
• About his PAW debut:
I never thought I was going to get as far as I have. My first tournament was Indian Wells and I was playing against all these big names with so much more experience. It was quite an experience.

• About being a PAW pro:
I am fortunate to have my wife with me on the tour. She constantly gives me inspiration.

• About his PAW goals:
I would like to gain more experience and truly bring out the best in me. I also have high hopes for my home tournament in ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

Quaterfinalist 2004: Casablanca

2004 IN REVIEW
Started the year with the second round in Auckland finishing 13th. Winning the 3rd career title and first in 2004 in Canberra, also winning the doubles title. Unfortunately bad results followed: finishing in 1st round at first career Grand Slam in Melbourne as #68. In Tokyo failed to win even a point finishing as #82. Made the first round in Paris as #31, falling out early in both Dubai and Doha as #46 and #47. Bad results continued as finishing the worst position ever as #85 at Indian Wells, improved a bit in Miami finishing as #47. Slump seems to be finished at Casablanca ending up as #13, and then in Estoril, the seasons second best result reaching quarterfinal (#7)

Made debut in Tashkent finishing #20 but winning doubles title. Play Tokyo where finished #13. Went on to win the title on the first carrer Tier I tournament in Zurich. Came to second round in Leipzig as #16 and first round at Luxembourg as #32. Won second title of the year in Pattaya. Finished the year ranked as no.62
