Katie Couric was absolutely brutal asking Irina questions like "How does it feel to have worked so hard all those years...." "Do you realize how different your life would be if you had won?". I was dusgusted and embarassed and I felt horrible for Irina. I wanted to vomit.
Katie, you can stick that 65 million where the sun don't shine! It's cruel b**tches like you that give the press a BAD name.

That was awfully heartless of her.
Perhaps she's bitter cause Irina has accomplished so much more than her annoying self has?

Lola, I searched the NBC website and couldn't find a transcript of it. I wish I could because I can't remember half of the outrageous questions that were asked.

All I can say is "Bravo!" to Irina for being so spunky and cheerful despite all that abuse from Katie. Davay, Slutskaya!

I agree TammysBigSis....I thought Irina handled the "inquisition" quite well. It was almost as if Couric was trying to break Irina. I'm so ticked off I'm going to send a complaint to NBC News about her - not that it's going to get her fired or anything but I feel like I need to say something. A shameless display of kindergarten journalism if you ask me.

And they're paying Couric HOW much a year to be a saccharin-coated cyanide pill? :p

Why was a rejected cabbage patch kid interviewing Irina?
