K... we know the Amelia Island stats are a bit flaky, because it looks like everyone is playing the best tennis of their life this week. :p

Truly AMAZING stats.
Can she keep it up???????

Mary Pierce played well too according to stats.
Serena must have been on in every part.
Continue Serena.

She has won 7 matches ALREADY and lost none.
+7 from Wimbledon
14 Matches in a row.
Serena is starting a streak here!

Yea the stats seem to good to be true in a lot of cases this week, from Pierce and Schnyder LOL

Even Marys stats are good so Serena must ahve been on fire, or someone was a little happy snappy on the winners button today.

I don't know if it's all matches... but some have been weird.

Like, Pierce had 6 winners after her 1st game against Meg... and she won it at 15.

 Not the winner-stats-are-exaggerated excuse again.

When I saw this thread, I predicted that response.

Green clay is even faster than some hardcourt surfaces. Why are you guys surprised at the winners?

Some people just can't believe Serena can be that much better than a player who played so well.

It's not that I don't believe Serena can play that well... it's because other matches have obviously been tainted.

I don't know what they're counting as winners... just look at Mary's stats.

Mary won 48 points... 25 winners, and 19 unforced errors from Serena... that leaves 4 forced errors from Serena as the rest.

Just look at other tournaments' stats, and the forced errors are a lot more than that... and especially considering this is Pierce, who hits a lot of powerful balls.

Wow that is really good for Serena...she normally has way more errors.

The forced/unforced error stats seem to very tremendously from one tournament to another; but it seems to have been an high quality match in any event. I would love to see a report from someone who watched the match. (Why, oh why, did no one televise the early rounds of this tournament.)
