I suppose it has it's advantages: Maria gets a well deserved lengthy rest - has time to mentally freshen up.

But a year later, i will say:

I would think this is a very important vacation. A new era is starting for her---the distraction of her 18th birthday will be behind her, she might be tired, but basically she has grown physically stronger in the last year, so the rest should make her ready for some big challenges ahead.

It is a good time.

I heard she is going to Ferrero's place in Spain to train. :D
