I'm outing myself.....I have become a Serena fan

You I am not sure when it really happened. For those who know me around here I am a huge Lindsay Davenport fan. But with all her injuries, I had a hard time deciding who I would root for, especially with the fact Linds will probably be gone in two years.

In the first place, I am a huge tennis fan anyway. I have no qualms say watching Nicole Pratt battle it out with Maria Kirilenko.

But something happened when I began watching Serena play tennis. She is so incredibly exciting to watch. I rooted for her all the way in Miami and I hope she will play Justine in the final just to prove she really is the best in the world.

Now this does not mean I am a Williams sisters fan. I still don't have the same feelings for Venus.

But in terms of watching great tennis. Serena just does it for me.........

Welcome aboard. Now make sure your seatbelt is on tight because being a Serena fan is one hell of a ride, sit back and enjoy. You should have shared your story in the 'When did you become a Serena fan" thread here. This would have been a nice addition to that thread.

nice to know that u have become a serena fan :) i also when serena was out, i was also cheering for lindsay cuz i started to miss those time when lindsay could beat those horrible belgians and also win some great titles, nice to know we had a same ´history` with the players we admire now :)

There's alwayz room for another Serena fan.. I gotta warn you though, once you step into the world of Serena there's no goin' back- she simply won't let you. Everyday you're going find your interest in her continue to grow and before you know it you're going to be a hardcore fan for life.

....just thought I'd warn you.
