She might be too busy giving interviews about and stalking Venus and Serena to train...:tape:

When you've lost more matches than you've won the past 15 months, the last thing you should be doing is calling another player "beatable." Holy poetic justice, Batman! ;)

Amy hasn't lost in the first round yet this year. Not shocked with the result in the least. I am glad she is wearing her sunscreen, because boy, her results have been great this year! :worship:

yeah, not surprised as well.

yeah, not surprised as well.

If this were any surface other than clay, I wouldn't be surprised. Frazier is pretty dreadful on the dirt, so even though I predicted her to win, it's still a shock.

Amy could very well enter the top 30 this year. She has more or less nothing to defend until late June...for the most part, she has nothing to do but climb this year.

Amy hasn't been that bad on clay... she has beat Arantxa and Mary on it.

...and Jelena said Venus & Serena were finished. I've always been a fan of Dokic, but girlfriend needs to buy a clue. People talk bad about Anna K., who in all fairness has had some pretty serious injuries. The question we really should be asking is WHAT THE HELL'S HAPPENED TO JELENA DOKIC?

Dokic just proves that talking about others while ignoring your own faults never leads to success

Joy, it just wont stop. Players still drop down like flies.

I am like, "for the love of god... stop harming yourselves".

Jeca

oh sorry...y'all can go back to kicking her when she's down now :p

Apr 7th, 2004, 04:26 AM
Hurry up and get out of top 100 Jelena NOW

Apr 7th, 2004, 04:27 AM
comparing her to alex is a bit harsh, aint it? jelena has been #4 in the world but she tends to blow hot and cold and its always been that way since 99 wimby. missing the aussie open every year doesnt help, so perhaps her confidence will rise after she has a few wins under her belt.

too erratic for my taste

Apr 7th, 2004, 02:28 PM
I wanted Jelena to win but I had a feeling that Amy was going to cause some trouble.

Most of you obviously don't play enough competitive tennis to know what it's like to have ups and downs, otherwise you wouldn't be ripping into players who have them. Retaliation is NOT an excuse.

For me the shocking thing is that players these days just come and go!
I dont want to make anybody angry but take for example Hantuchova,Stevenson,Kournikova and now Dokic... This is very sad

Wats with all the Dokic hate over her comments over the Williams sisters. She said them like 4 months ago and they have been overly recycled, she only said like one sentence when asked about it, and that sentance has now been taken completely out of context. She didn't feel Serena could come back and perform at her best .... so wat people, she was wrong, she was asked the question wat was she gonna say "oh sorry im not gonna comment on that because my own game is pretty crap at the moment" ..... i don't think so. Cut the kid some slack, she is only young and it must be hard for her now she is losing regularly, her self esteem must be way down. The last thing she needs is some comment that she said in an informal interview at some random tournament she probably doesnt even remember exactly, being thrown bak at her.
