View Full Version : If Serena Had Venus's Technique, and Venus Serena's...

would Serena still be the 'better player'?

I think the only reason Serena is better than Venus is because of her fundamentals, so when Serena plays bad, she can atleast rely on her technique. But if Serena had the same technical problems Venus did, I don't think she would be any where near the player she is.

I mean grand-slam champion for sure, but I think it would definately bogg her game down. Because Serena's game is so based on technique and talent, while Venus's is just more talent based, I think Venus would be virtually unstoppable.

What do you all think?

I voted equal...Venus with the technique, but Serena still with the fight.

what I mean is if Venus's first and second serve's were as sound as Serena's technically and her forehand wasn't as shaky

and Serena's serve wasn't as dependable and her forehand even more shaky

But that´s the point....Serena wouldn´t stop until she got it right. She got the drive...so I can´t see her having bad-technique.

Venus has better reach and potential but does not have the killing instinct and desire...

I give up!
I've just got to laugh anymore!

If one more person says Venus has no desire
despite showing that she does. :smash:

Oh whatever. :p

Fine by me! :p

I'm tired Venus doesn't have this and Venus doesn't have that!
Since when can you tell how someone feels when you can't get
in their heads or hearts to tell.

Venus is positive about it all and says her game is on the up and up
we still just continue to here Vee this and Vee that.

I guess some here know her better than she
apparently knows herself.

That being said, I give up
and just laugh about it all from
critics and fans alike.(the worry, anger, ect...)

IMO Venus hasn't showed
a lack of pride or desire!

Venus is one of the most injury prone players on tour.
If she can stay healthy with her game improving as it is
she'll get back to where she belongs in no time.

Just how I see it! :wavey:
