That's a draw with decent players at every turn a "rusty" Serena might struggle but otherwise I don't really see too many obstacles for Serena to get to the final. Clay season is nice season for her to come back to because all the pressure isn't there for her to clearly be the favorite since she's not looked at as the "best" clay courter. For Serena that's just extra motivation to proove she is, I think she's going to have a good clay court season.

Peirce, Patrova, and Davenport have games that feed into Serena's strengths, so she'll be up for playing power tennis with any of them. She's played Mauremo and Meleeva enough to fully know what she needs to do to beat them, so she won't be caught off guard. I wont even touch Justine, since that situation is totally unique. Bring on the clay, I'm a big fan of matches played on clay...

Pierce- There is no guarentee that we will see Pierce, Meleeva, or Petrova, they are still not what I would consistant. As for Davenport, 8-2 (with no wins comming since 2000) says it all. Serena is gonna have to be on her game. Lets hope she is.
