Well If anyone can help me answer some questions that I have I would be so thankful.

#1. Since this competition is all about the artistic side then if Michelle falls can she still win GOLD?

#2. What exactly can Sasha and Irina do to actually hurt Michelle?

#3. If Michelle goest thru her program with no falls is she a shoo in for the GOLD?

Gosh I am sooooooooo nervous.. I mean this is the second most thing that I desire in sports. I wanted Venus to get to #1, Michelle to win GOLD and the Bengals to win the Superbowl. So naturally I have uncontrolled butterflies in my stomach. Please whoever can help me out before the competition begins.

thanks in advance to whoever gives me some answers..lol

Don't worry, the fix is in. She can't lose unless she lands a jump in Idaho.

First of all, it is not all about the artistic side. The required elements are very important. But Michelle can win gold, even if she falls. We've seen strange judging in the ice-dancing competition...I will not be surprised if she wins even with a fall. She also has a bonus: she skates at home and that is very important. The judges know Tara has taken gold from Michelle in Nagano, so it is high time for Michelle.
Sarah and Irina can hurt Michelle by a good program, that means good music, good coreography, beautiful dresses and last but not least a brilliant skating, a clear program. All these have to harmonize in order to have a great program.

Anything can happen...ice is slippery, and yes we have seen strange results before.

but let's face reality here, skating is not tennis. In skating, you earn your results with your reputation as well. The judges tonight know very well what happened to Kwan 4 years ago. That's one for Michelle already;) It's the fact. What i meant that skating is not tennis, is that in tennis the lines people are not all of a sudden gonna call all the long hit shots 'in' just because you are a multiple grand slam champion.

Kwan is definitley going to go down as one of the top 3 ladies figure skaters of all time, just her results speak for themselves. but those results will be taken heavily by the judges tonight.

Michelle will win gold, unless there was an earthquake in Salt Lake and the competition had to me moved to Europe:p

I'd agree that Michelle is going to win... the only way she won't win is if either Sasha or Irina skate a beautiful, clean program and Michelle falls, i'd say at least 3 times... basically she can't lose.

I disagree, I want Michelle kwan to win, but I think if she falls, she will kiss the olympic gold goodbye, there's no way that judge will want to anger the Russian like the 10th times. May the best skater to win, although since michelle looks a like a chinese then I will root for her hehe
