It's confirmed :D

Kirsten Flipkens and Evelyne Van Hyfte, because otherwise Bob Verbeeck’s office will be attacked by a mob of angry WTA World posters

lol (I'd join though :o ;)).

Anyway, why Hasselt? I agree with Come-on-Kim, it's way too far for most Belgians...

Because Hasselt is "Kim's backyard" as they put it on VRT Teletext. ;)
So the 2nd WC will most definitely go to Elke.

I love Kim, but I hate when they do nearly all the events in her backyard  (Fed Cup, love match, Hasselt tournament,...)

They could have done it in Brussels for exemple! It's in the middle of the country! They said it was possible for them to do it in Vorst Nationaal! And why not at Heysel?

The only good thing is that the 27th September is the French Community day :woohoo: So that means day off at university :bounce: So I'll go the monday at least

Nice :bounce: Again 1 point for our Belgian Girls in qualifying :bounce: :bounce:

Anyway, I don't give a sh*t where the event takes place...If you like tennis, you just go to there ;) I went 3 times to Knokke, 1 time to Koksijde....just figure out the distance from my place ;)

Well I agree that Hasselt isn't the best choice (but it's a lot better than Bree => we got a railway station over here  ). I know that the people from Octagon where 'complaining' when they had to go to Charleroi because it's to far ... so maybe another reason why Hasselt will be the place to be?

It's kind of obivious :tape:

Why were they complaining about Charleroi
I know that Justine presented the boss of Spiroudome ( was a partner of Stavaux agency) to Verbeeck, thanks to that Octagon had a place for the Diamond night in 2002 and the FedCup QF 2003 there! SO ........ :fiery:

Well they said Bree was 'nicer' but the main prob was the distance. Look out what I say is what the 'workers' said, it's not that Bob said it to me or so ;)

I was in Bree and in Charleroi and I liked the atmosphere in Charleroi much more than the 'family'atmosphere in Bree ;)

Well where do you suppose they play the 'love match' it was always going to be in Bree, it is Kim vs Lleyton so ofcourse it is in her hometown:)

I know but not only Bree inhabitants want to see Kim :p So let the others have the opportunity to see her without being obliged to go at the far end of the country

If it was in Australia, it would be in Adelaide, which is very far from me so I would have no chance to get there, so the way I see it I guess is no matter where it is in Belgium you could get there it isn't far.

I still think the tourney should've been organised in either Wallonia or Brussels.Charleroi was a huge succes with the FedCup 2003 and Diamond Tennis Night in 2002 and Forest National was also a great succes with the Noah vs. Henin-Hardenne exhibition.I mean Flanders allready has a big tourney with Antwerp.BUt Justine probably won't attented anyway.

Then why bother having it in Wallonia?
Besides Justine, there are no Walloon players :o (except for Jennifer De Bodt  )

Actually I think that if it was in Wallonia,Justine would've had played. And even if she doesn't play it,don't the Frechspeaking people have the right to watch some decent tennis too without having to travel from one side to the other.

Maybe they could give a WC in the qualies to Gaelle Taton. They should have organized that tournament when she was still active

Anyway, there are two young players who could get their first wta points before september : Caroline Bailly and Cecile Baijot

I hope Caroline and Cecile will do well on the WTA-tour, but i doubt they will be top-200 or more

Oh yeah...Gaelle should get one for sure...and maybe she'll take it, she's still playing national events, no?... so her form won't be that bad?

I found it strange not to see Baijot and Bailly in Pre-Qualifying in Antwerp....I hope Verbeeck organises again such a PQ, so they can show their tennisskils...:) And how much better they are now

it's only 85 km from brussels; I do it almost every week when I go see my parents who live near Hasselt. And it's very easy to do by train (1.20u from brussels)

Yeah, I know how far my train Hasselt is from Brussel :p

But, I mean, if it was for example closer to the center of the country, it would have been easier for many more Belgians!!

Gaëlle has retired, she doesn't need a WC anymore. Give it to the younger ppl (like Evelyne!) :yeah:

Bailly & Baijot aren't that promising either, are they? :o :o
I don't even see them in the top-500!

Baijot wasn't there but Bailly was and she lost to Evelyne Van Hyfte (she saved only 1 game).

In fact for them I was thinking of a WC for the qualies. I think for the MD it has to be Evelyne, Caroline and Kirsten. (hopefully Els will still be ranked high enough for direct acceptance).

Kirsten will definately get one. I hope Kim and Elke get one for doubles:)

I hope Kirsten and Evelyne get a WC, they can give the third one to Els Callens, or to Elke Clijsters if Els is automaticly in the main draw.

Maybe some Limburg juniors get PQ-places? (Désirée Bastianon, ...)
