Everybody is proud of her. She made a fantastic tournament which apparrently is her last of the year after she withdrawed from Poitier. She will probably be in top 100 next week which will secure her no qualies for AO. Let's hope that she will start the next year with the form she showed against Zvonareva. Congratulations to Tsveti. Even though her season was not very good she still managed to be in the top 100. If she continue the game from Moscow in the next season it will be great.
By the way she said that she will play some matches in the french interclubs for her team Grenoble till the end of the year and she will start the season in Sydney where she will be in the qualies.

Here is a very sweet pic with our best male tennis player - Grigor Dimitrov:

Tsvetana didn't play last sunday. I suppose they didn't need her (but it's a mistake because in my opinion she's the best player of her team despite the ranking). It's a little bit strange because few weeks before she played her first meeting with her team she had no news to know if she would play or not. If they need her they call her.

Is that the way they proceed. Call the players and notify them do they need them or not. That's a little not professional if you ask me. And of course Tsveti is the best player from her team. The other players are way behind her and are going to be outplayed again next week if Tsveti is not playing again.

next week they played against a weak team in my opinion so even if Tsvetana don't play I think they have a chance to win.
Tsvetana is only the third player on her team with her ranking (hercog and martic are the 2 first), but qhe's the best in my opinion.

It was hard to watch at the end of the 3rd set. Tsveti was winning, she was pressing her so much, and then all of a sudden a lot of unforced errors, maybe she was too impatient to finish her off, I don't know. It looked like she was going to win in another 10 minutes and she actually lost!!! I am still bewildered and I am sure Tsveti is kicking herself. Not that Anna-Lenna is not a good opponent, but Tsveti could have thrashed her like she did in the 2nd set and the beginning of the 3rd one.

Feb 4th, 2010, 08:26 AM
Well Tsveti has some mental thing in those third sets. She leads with a good score and then this is followed by a sudden drop in her game. Like yesterday she was leading 3-1 and till the rest of the match won 1 against 5 games for Rus. And this is something that happens too often the past months. She must change something because I don't see her back in top 100.

I'm not good in English, but I'll try to translate the article from Tenniskafe.com (http://www.tenniskafe.com/).

Tsvetana Pironkova returned from Dubai and the first thing that make us an impression is her new tattoo. Here's what she said:
I lost in the first round from Tamira Paschek. Now I have two weeks and I'm going to America. My next tournament will be Indian Wells and hopefully Miami after that.

About Fed Cup:
I think we've done good. That was our goal - to stay in the group and we are all very happy that we made it. The team is united now, we are playing together second year and now we had the support of Dia, which is good for us. We hope for a better spot in the group next year and maybe promotion.

Tsvetana is in the entry list of the 25K Fort Walton Beach, starting in 2 weeks

Mar 1st, 2010, 02:37 PM
She will be in MD. Well that surprises me a bit that she is in a 25k entry list, but in the other hand it's perfectly normal. She is not in great shape, she has Indian Wells before that and it's very very likely that she won't reach the second week. By the way she might be in the entry list for the next 25k on the 22nd because there is a chance with her 126 place she might not be able to play even qualies in Miami. Let's hope she will have a good couple of weeks and gain some confidence.

Tsveti said that she travels for Indian Wells on friday and according to her results there she might play the ITF begining on the 15 of march.
She plans to play some small tournaments where she can gain some confidence and play doubles too so she can climb the ranking and wants to find a good partner. And as always Tsveti looks stunning. :inlove:

Another great match from Tsveti. In her last 10 matches she is 8-2 up. Just great.

Let's hope that she will have a good place in the draw and make at least a second round in Miami which will be her first time here. Haide. :bounce:

Now a great draw!
I think she can go far here, if she plays like she did against Zvonareva in Moscow, she will beat Wozniacki :D
First beat Watson though :p

It wasn't very easy yes but Heather isn't a bad player. She is US Open junior champion and 18 years of age. This is the time when everybody expect her break-through in such tournaments. It didn't happen because Tsveti was more expierienced and won the important points. Most of the games in the first set were tough and passed through deuces.

Now good luck vs Wozniacki. It will be very tough but everything is possible. The thing is that she could be on centre court but there could be no broadcast. Eurosport begin on Sunday as most of the channels. So I think the scoreboard will be our guide again.
