The 2004 NASDAQ-100 Open tennis tournament is looking for volunteers to help out with the event March 22 through April 4. Volunteers are needed for a variety of positions, including transportation, ushers, ticket checkers and guest safety monitors throughout the 12-day tournament. Qualifying rounds are March 22 and 23 with the main draw March 24-April 4 at the Tennis Center at Crandon Park.

In addition to being a part of the fifth-largest tennis event in the world, volunteers receive a complete FILA uniform, complimentary tickets for up to 10 sessions, parking and a volunteer party. Each individual is asked to work a minimum of nine five-hour shifts, which can be scheduled around personal work commitments.

The staging of the 20th anniversary NASDAQ-100 Open will require more than 950 volunteers and 400 ball kids, the largest volunteer presence of any tennis tournament in the world.

To get involved, call the volunteer office at 305-365-3178. Information and applications are also available on the NASDAQ-100 Open website at www.NASDAQ-100open.com (http://www.nasdaq-100open.com/).
