I read she would withdraw from Indian Wells and Miami just to be more focused to get a good result in RG. She also said she would keep training really hard in clay and would play the US clay tournaments, like Amelia Island and Charleston, and probably Sarasota.

Dementieva must be still recovering from the same injury which made she pull out from Antwerp. GWS, baby! :hearts:

Dementieva has been haveily training with Olga Morozova(sp)...for almost 2 months...shes been working mainly on a more "consistant power game "and her serve, I heard Olga mentioning that Elena's serve has definitely improved...and that Elena will be a lot more aggressive but with more safety lol.........Cant Wait to see Dementieva play

:haha:

OMG!! this isn't a grandslam, so players like Farina, Barna, Pierce, etc. choose to skip it. It actually isn't that many withdrawals.

Ok, it's not a Grand Slam....so?

Anyway, you can still find lots of draws of Tier II tournaments much stronger than IW. I still think there are lots of withdrawals. Just compare to IW last year... :o

I thought Elena (dementieva) still suffered from the shoulder injury that made her withdraw in Antwerp
