tough schedule. there's so many big tournaments in such short a time period. she might take strasbourg off because she will be defending those points in rome...

I thought so too, but in the 2003 Interview after Strasbourg she promised she'd comeback as it was 'the best 10 days of my life'. But SO much has changed since then. ;)

I agree, this schedule is RIDICULOUS...she needs to take Rome out and prepare to defend her finalist points at Strasbourg...

I can only hope that if she does well in the US, that she pulls out...

WOW!!! What a *full* schedule!!
I expect a withdrawal or 2 from all those. I think she should cut Poland & one of the Tier Is like Berlin or Rome. Especially if she wins a lot of matches, she'll need to cut some.

I agree that she is over scheduled. Hopefully she will pull out of a couple of tournaments. I want her to do well at RG, not arrive too tired to play her best.

she should skip rome (altho i love that tournament  ) and maybe warsaw...

She will probably wait to see how she does in the green clay events to decide which one to withdraw from, but my pick is Rome

Clay has started, she's 2-1 on the dirt.

By defeating N. Dechy in this years race to the championships she's now above 482 better said above 500 points. That means she's way ahead of last year points. Could have made the calculation myself but the first challengers she won last year are missing here.

They don't put Challengers on the Race points, only WTA events. But she's still *way* ahead of last year. Plus she loses nothing now until the week before Roland Garros. 7 weeks of nothing but gaining points. Great to think, especially when 3 of her point totals are 1.000/1st round losses. ;)

:D

she has guarenteed herself a rg seeding :D. now, if she can make a good run deep into the following tier i's, she can find herself in the top16

Jane
Apr 13th, 2004, 05:04 AM
Top 16 seed is pretty ambitious but Karolina keeps surprising me. It would help if she could get a draw where she doesn't run into the number one seed until later in the tournament but the experience can only help her. (Hope I'm not jinxing her by assuming she will meet Justine in rd3.) I see top 20 very soon for Karolina.

K-lina is playing two grass court tournaments before wimbledon...

talk about overkill. if she makes the second week of rg (which i'm sure she will ;) ) she should pull out of at least one of them...

This schedule is insane. I hope she withdraws from Strasbourg. The points will come off after her RG seeding so it won't really matter.

Well, she lost early in Rome, so I'm assuming she should be suitably rested.

Are we the only ones here who actually know K-Lina will be winning Roland Garros this year? ;) I pity all those other fans hoping aimlessly. Little do they know. ;) :p

I'm not happy with K-Lina's schedule at all. She is falling into the same trap like Anna/Petrova and alot of other players who do really well quickly and start playing bigger tournaments without a title. I hope she takes the fall season to play some smaller tournaments and try to notch that first title and get it out of the way. I wish she would play Cincinnati :(

Sad News....:help: :awww: :retard:  :bigcry: from Thailand...
I've got a personal mail saying....
Dear Frank,

Sorry to inform you that Karolina Sprem could not participate this week's Super Tour due to a persistent viral infection.

Anna Chakvetadze, a 17-year-old tennis star from Russia will replace Karolina Sprem. A good-looking and tennis-talented Chakvetadze defeated Anastasia Myskina, the current French Open Champion and World no. 4 at this year’s US Open in only her third main draw match.

Thanks,

Ms Kipple Chan from Media Service

First Cry...than cheer K-lina 2005 winner !!! :hearts:
