Nicklas Vuong was selected as the winner in the Jelena Dokic Autograph contest, his winning letter to me is below, you can see why I selected him to be the winner. But everyone that sent me a letter was very good, in fact I had a real hard time picking the winner, I think all are great tennis fans and Dokic fans. I wanted to give everyone autographs but I only had one. Nicklas is from Sweden. Congrats Nicklas.

Jelena Dokic!

If you'd asked me 3 years ago, who Jelena Dokic is? I wouldn't be able to answer. It feels strange to for years ago not even know who this incredible woman is and now be a big fan of hers. 3 years ago, the wonderful world of tennis was totally unknown to me. Sport was nowhere in my interest. It all started then, when i first got in contact with tennis through friends. I began playing tennis myself and that's how my passion for tennis started to grow. Along with tennis playing, i started to watch tennis. I had finally found something that i burned for. One of the first players i got to see was.... yes, it was the amazing girl who stunned me at first sight. She was young, beautiful, combined with such power, strength, talent and hunger to win every single point. I had never in my life seen something like this. At this moment my heart belonged to Jelena. Everytime i see her on tv, i get so exited and happy. I didn't know so much about her at the time and wanted to find out more about her. Later I found out that she was ranked #14, i was supried in a positive way. I knew she was a great talent but the fact that her ranking was so high made me even more attached to her. Ever since, i've tried to follow every match and tournament that she has played. Even recorded them to watch them over and over again, i get so happy everytime i see her, can't explain my feelings. Recently as we all know, Jelena hasn't played her best tennis and she has been struggleing with her tennis and personal problems. This has of course affected me,along with all the fans all around the world. But i haven't even considered to leave her, i will never do! Jelena will always have a special place in my heart. A few losses won't make my bound to her weaker, i know what a talent she is. Her bad year has made a lot of fans leave her, which i find truly sad. I have confident in Jelena, i know she is capable of. For example the win againstClijsters in Zurich in 2003, you can' t imagine what that meant to me.

To tell you the truth, I have never been to a tournament, i'm 16 years of age and live in Sweden. I'm very jealous when i hear all these people who's met Jelena and gotten her autograph, seen her matches live, talked to her. I can't see myself do that in the closest future, i would however love to meet her in person, that would mean so much to me. If i could, i would of course pick Jelena's favourite grand slam, Wimbledon. And to see Jelena in action. That is one of my goals here in life, to be able to watch her in action one beautiful day...

And since i haven't been to any tournament, i've no autograph. The closest i've ever been to Jelena, is when she answered my question on a chat. I asked her about her favourite tournament. I valuate that very much. I hope with all my heart that Jelena will play her best tennis and go out there and show what a champion she is!

I would be so incredibly thankful if you could help my make my connection to Jelena even stronger! And to help me a bit on my way to achieve one of my big goals.

Good Luck Jelena!

I believe in you...

Such a great and positive idea to give away an autograph. If this interests other fans, please respond to this thread. I might consider giving away an autograph. I have a few doubles and might get more at Roland Garros this year. Again Koodos (spelling??) to you for doing a give away!
