And yes, defending is harder. But look at the start she is already off to. Remember, this is who will be #1 at the end of the year. Justine leads the race already. And it's not about defending points ... it's about accumulating points. She won't have to defend all her points to finish at #1 again. Not necessarily, anyway. But as I see it, she won 2 Slams last year and finished at #1. She's got one already this year, and three more chances for more.

She won't be # 1 if Kim can win two grand slams. She's
the nearest in numbers. There's a huge gap between 2 and
3 at the moment. I don't think Kim can win 2 grand slams.
